Chapter 2: Questions in Depths

"That was a close one, Rui... Be more careful with your actions, by now they could be trying to track us down..." Ruby stated while keeping her gaze ahead of her. "Hey... Where did you drop that man off at, anyway...?" Ruby asked after peeking over at Rui from the corner of her eyes; the buzzing sound of a hummingbird was as clear as day in her ears.

"I... Put him on a rooftop and out of harm's way," She hesitantly said with her soft voice as she scratched her temple with her index finger and looked to the right.

Ruby sighed with her eyes closed, still soaring through the air alongside her sister; randomly, a flying card flew toward her face. Her senses screamed at her and made her draw out her blade, slicing the card in half. She and Rui both paused in their flight, their guard rising in doing so.

"The hell was that about...?" Ruby questioned then looked over at Rui with a puzzled expression. Ruby gave eye contact to her twin, mouthing, Have your guard up. Rui nodded with a serious yet innocent face, she knew better than to take her sister lightly when it came to something like this.

Rui rose her index and middle finger behind her back, summoning flies to her side. Those flies buzzed and hovered near her head, she needed their help so they listened to her whispers. After a couple of seconds or so, the flies flew off in random directions but were in her and Ruby's area. Herantennas twitched every now and then while having a focused look on her face.

Ruby used her hawk eyes to scan the area, her pupils shrunk. Through her eyes, her vision, it looked like she was looking through a scope. "Found anything yet, Rui...?" Ruby asked with her hawk eyes still scanning the area, not once glancing at her twin.

Rui waved a hand in front of her face to draw her attention; when Ruby looked over at her sister, she saw her looking down with a serious face. She too looked and noticed Hisoka looking up at them with his big grin, he was standing on a rooftop.

"Looks like Mr. Redhead wants to play, Ruby-chan," Rui said with a soft smile and looked over at her twin innocently. Ruby closed her eyes then let a sigh escape her ruby-red lips and opened them again. She knew this wasn't going to be good, she knew HE was up to no good.

Quickly, she flew towards Hisoka with her blade at hand and prepared to strike. Cards flew rapidly at Ruby, only to have them get cut up and evaded; as the last, the card got sliced, she thrust her free hand out and light emitted from her palm.

Hisoka jumped off the rooftop just quick enough, to have Ruby crash into the roof's surface. When she collided, light erupted from her palm and caused an explosion in the atmosphere.

"Ruby-chan," Rui said with concern, her brows knitting all the while; she had her hands pressed against her chest worriedly. However, noticing Hisoka right below her, she saw an opportunity to tangle him up. Her arms swatted out with her palms facing Hisoka, the redhead had no idea what was going to happen next.

With Hisoka being oblivious to Rui's presence, vines from beneath him wrapped around his legs and made their way up to his torso.
