Jail or Camp Green Lake?

"Come on Robin, just Jump!" Said My Friend Sarah as She was starting to run. "I-I Can't, It's too high!" I knew I had to jump, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. "Hey! Stop Where You Are!" I heard a voice behind me say. 'Oh No!', is all I thought in that moment. I really screwed up this time. It was only a pair of Black Shoes, and I wasn't even the one who stole them! My Friend Sarah did and of course she made ME hold them!

I saw Sarah Run off somewhere so she wouldn't' get caught. Ugh, how I hated her in that moment. I didn't resist when the cops put handcuffs on me and they put me in their car. I wanted to say I didn't steal the shoes, but I doubt that they would've believed me. I stayed quiet until we showed up at the courthouse. They got me out the car and I just stared at the front of the building for a couple seconds.

--------------------------------------------------IN COURT ROOM ----------------------------------------------

"Well," The Judge Started as I was standing. "I've got two choices for you young lady. Either Jail or Camp Green Lake?" I gave him a confused look as I hadn't heard of Camp Green Lake before. "The Camp helps troubled youth." I thought for a bit until I realised how bad my parents had said jail was. "Um, well, I don't want to go to jail." "20 months in Camp Green Lake it is." I heard a loud bang as he slammed down his Gavel ( used to make decisions in the courtrooms.).

I felt uneasy on the way back home. "You'll be fine, Honey" my dad said as I was looking out the window. "Your Dad's right, we'll miss you but time will pass by quickly, I'm sure of it." She gave me a little smile, looking back at me. "Well, at least I won't have to put up with him." I pointed to my brother as he punched my arm. "Hey, I'm not that annoying!" I shook my head in disagreement as he said that.

--------------------------------------------------------AT HOME------------------------------------------------------------

I started packing as I was getting on the bus to go there the day after. I looked around my room, taking everything in as this would be the last day at home for quite a long time. "Robin, Come down for dinner!" My mum called me down and we were having my favourite, Steak and Vegetables! I like eating healthy, It gives me a sense of comfort for some weird reason. We didn't talk, just ate and admired the quiet taking over the house. I finished and went to feed the dog. His name's Legoshi. Why you may ask? Well I've always loved the name and I would never quit saying it when I was younger, so my parents thought it would be the perfect name for him.

---------------------------------------------------THE NEXT DAY----------------------------------------------------------

I woke up early as the bus was coming at 7. I got dressed in a black t-shirt with black ripped jeans and a bandana tied against my forehead. I had short hair that kind of fell onto my face, so the bandana fit nicely with it. I was always a tomboy so I liked to dress as a guy would. It just felt more comfortable and I was never really one to wear dresses or heels. I heard the bus arrive and knew it was time to say goodbye to my family. First, it was the dog. I wasn't sure what I'd do without him. He's my partner in crime. Then my brother, who hugged me for the first time in years. It was nice. Then my mum, who hugged me ever so tightly as she always did. then my dad, who gave me a hug, played with my hair and waved at me. "Good luck kiddo!" That was the last thing I heard before entering the bus. As soon as I stepped on, the guard put handcuffs on me. 'Oh, not again!' Was all I thought in that moment.

The bus driver started to drive and I asked the guard "How long will the be?" "Around 6-7 hours" Well, this is gonna be a long drive...
