The bell went, to which we all groaned to again. I stood up doing my morning routine of putting on my orange jumpsuit, bandana, t - shirt and black boots on. I waited for Amy to finish getting ready as I looked outside the tent. It was dark and some stars were still out. of course pretty, but my mind started to wonder. I liked the idea of space, but not what could be out there. See, I'm no conspiracist, but when it comes to the topic of space, I got a few ideas. Like what if there are other life forms out there, or what if we're being watched by those life forms. Or what if- " Hey Chase, you're blocking the exit." I got snapped out of my state and saw Squid standing in front of me. "Oops, sorry dude." He chuckled to my response as I moved out the way for him. "You coming Chase?" He turned back to me, nodding his head with the words that came out of his mouth. I turned to Amy who as nearly done. I walk with Squid everyday so I thought I'd wait. "I'll catch up with you guys, ok?" He nodded and caught up with the rest of them. Amy soon finished getting ready as we started walking. I realised once again how tall she was. I was about 5'2 and she looked to be about 5'6 - 5'8 as the rest of the group was. 

We talked for what seemed like forever just getting to know each other. Before we knew it, we had our shovels and was walking to the new spots of our new holes that were about to be dug. " Oh Amy," X-ray started, which scared me out of the surprise of no talking. "You might get blisters from the shovel stick, so just be careful aight?" She nodded and thanked his worries about her. I soon remembered that I said I would help Amy with her hole and decided to try and dig as fast as I possibly could. Since I've dug faster than Zero, it shouldn't be too hard today. And with that, I was off. It was like my arms were running a marathon, they were going fast. Around 20 minutes after I started, I finished. I was almost amazed myself. "And here Amy, is the first example of Chase being the fastest digger here." I turned to see all of the looking in my direction to see that I was done. Amy had a shocked expression on her face as she started to lightly clap. "Well done Chase." She smiled at me. "Oh which reminds me, would you be able to help me now?" She shoved her shovel into the dirt, making an imprint. I nodded and smiled at her. I jumped out of my hole and started walking over to her hole. I realised she had took of the top half of her jumpsuit, which revealed a black tank top. It caught my attention to which I quickly looked up from. "Chase, its hot." Amy started, "Why don't you take off the top half?" I soon got the realisation of just how hot it was. It must've been one of the hottest days to which I didn't hesitate to take off the top half. She must've seen the shirt I was wearing because when I was about to tell her how much I was going to dig, I heard her compliment my shirt. "Hey, cool shirt Chase. In fact, I got the same one." I raised my eyebrows with a 'really?' look. She smiled and chuckled a little, to which I once again got a warm feeling from.

I told her that I'd dig the rest for her, to which she smiled and took the offer. I started and finished around 15 minutes later, which surprised her once more. She offered her hand and I refused. I mean, I didn't want to seem rude but I knew I could get out myself without help. I shook my head and hopped out. I sat just above the hole with my legs dangling and she did the same. I soon laid down, facing the sun. I just watched the sky, although there wasn't much to watch. Not a cloud, bird, nothing. It was quite boring when you finish early. You either have the choice to go back, or stay out here and wait for your tent. "Hey Chase," I heard Amy say, to which I sat up to. "I'm gonna go back, it's way too hot to stay out here. You wanna come with me or?" I thought about for a moment. "Nah, I'll wait. Zero should be done soon so you could go back with him if you want." She seemed to have a disappointed look on her face as she gave a weak smile. It concerned me a little, but soon enough Zero finished and they walked back together. 

It came around to about 1 hour later and I could feel shade. 'Shade? Where's this coming from?' I had my eyes closed to which I opened out of the curiosity of what was giving me shade. Turns out , it was Caveman. I was surprised, he surely wouldn't of finished his hole now, would he? "I finished my hole dude, come look!" My eye had widened as I ran over to his hole. To my surprise, it was done. All Five - Feet - Deep and Five - Feet - Wide. "Well done dude!" I smiled at him. "I'm proud." I gave him a side hug as I looked around to see everyone still digging except for one: Squid. He gave an envious look towards Caveman. He soon saw I was staring at him, to which he looked down into his hole, starting to dig again. I was somewhat confused, but brushed it off. Caveman told me he was going back and I told him that I would come later. He nodded and walked off. I went back to my hole and jumped in it. Around 30 minutes later, I looked out of my hole to see everyone still digging. I jumped out of my hole and just sat there. I zoned out again, thinking about what was happening at home. Was everyone ok? How were my friends? How's that bitch who left me to go here? I didn't even know why I was thinking about her, but I was. I then thought about what if she had a reason for leaving. See, I'm a very forging person so thoughts like these weren't knew. especially to the people who I don't like or who have done something to hurt me in any way. I snapped out of my state once more and decided I would help Squid to dig his hole. I wanted to talk to him anyway, after all I did decline his invite for walking this morning.
