FATE OR DESTINY

CHAPTER-1

           IIT Hyderabad University was busy with the farewell day decoration for the fourth year graduates. The girls got ready into sarees while the boys wore black suits. The chief guest of the function is Business Women of the year Mrs. Sushasini Nissankara.

          All the staff were waiting at the entrance along with the Principal and Head of the departments for the chief guest to arrive. The students are sitting in their alloted seats in the auditorium and the performers at the back stage.

         At nine'o clock sharp a white audi between two black cars came into the campus and stopped at the auditorium front door. A man in his late fifties came out of the passenger seat of the audi and opened the back door.

         A lady in her late forties stepped out of the car taking off her cooling glasses as the Principal handed her a bouquet. Her PA took the bouquet while the principal joined his palms in greeting Namaste which she returned politely.

         When the staff entered inside the auditorium along with the chief guest everyone stood in respect. She looked at them smirking and nodded before getting onto the dias. Some of the staff along with students and Principal gave speeches.

           "Now, I request the Iron lady Mrs. Suhasini Nissankara to give a small speech" Principal said making Suhasini come and stand before the podium.

           "When your Principal Mr. Bharani invited me to your university as the chief guest I asked one thing in return 'Give me one good reason Why I should come to your college?' I liked the way he replied 'Some invite for publicity some invite so they could show off but we invite because we know how to respect a person without holding any grudges' the way he respects the other person no matter how rich or poor is the best habit I found in him. And I hope you learn or learnt it from him. And the society out there is a war zone. Once you enter the war zone it's hard to come out so better be cautious and stubborn enough to achieve what you desire" With that she sat down as the whole auditorium started their clapping.

          When the principal announced the performances everyone got down and sat in the front row. First the classical and western dance performances were done then the degree was given. Before announcing the toppers of the University it was time for the last and only singing performance.

          "Now I call upon the dias Ms. Geetha Subramanyam for the last performance of the day" HOD of computer science called.

          Geetha got onto the dias and stood infront of the podium and greeted the guests and all the staff members before started singing "Mukundha..Mukhunda Krishna Mukhunda Mukundha..Swaramloka brinda Vanda Vanam lova ranga..Venna donga vai neevu mann..mannu......" Geetha trailed off while all the students started whispering and the staff looked at her and chief guest shook her head while Geetha started tearing up.
