CHAPTER-69

"You dare to kill her?" Siva started hitting others. In the mean time the villagers came rushing into the temple with sticks and started hitting the goons who tried to kill Aarya.

The goons soon ran out of the temple while Siva turned towards Aari who's sitting on the slab as blood oozed out of her already injured shoulder. He rushed to her and held her shoulder tightly making her wince. The old man who was also a ayurvedic doctor came to the couple with a leaf and some paste and put it on her wound then took her chunni and tied around her shoulder.

"Let's go home" saying Siva held her hand but Aari stopped him "But I've to sleep here tonight due to tradition.

"It's okay Aaryamma it's four in the morning and a new day started. You can go home and take rest because you have to perform naatyam tonight" Poojari garu insisted.

Siva rounded his hand around her uninjured shoulder and rushed her towards the car. After a few minutes into the drive Aari asked "What were you doing in the temple at this time?"

"Came to get you home" Siva answered making Aari ask "Who asked you to pick me?"

"Why should anyone ask me, I came to get you because you are my wife" Siva non-chalantly said making her look at him with a surprised expression.

"Soon I won't be" Aarya said making him clench his hands on the steering wheel and grit his teeth "Stop talking nonsense" making her smile sadly and lean her forehead onto the glass window replying "It's the truth".

Siva parked the car in the garage and saw Aari asleep. He sighed and got out of car and took off her seatbelt as he lifted her in bridal style and carried her inside towards their bedroom making the servants and just woke up Sivanjani a bit shocked. He made her sleep on the bed and covered her in duvet. He sat beside her and caressed her hair remembering Suhasini's words and took a hold of her hand "I won't let you go away from me I promise" saying he kissed the back of her palm and went to sleep.
