All the villagers stood outside the temple men in yellow pancha and lalchi and women in red sarees holding lit cuprum in their palms shouting "Hara Hara Mahadeva" while the poojari garu and his disciples started Homan chanting mantras. The royal family stood in the garbha gudi praying the fifteen feet Shivalingam which is attached to the temple it's base in water.
Hari, Kalyani and Siva sat in the small shrine playing the takata and drum. Swamiji and his followers started making sounds using shankam while Aari danced wearing the traditional red and black classical dance dress singing to impress her Sivvayya.
