It was going to be lonely at first,
That I knew.
But what I didn't know,
Is what I would soon be going through.
As I sat in my car,
Driving to my new destination.
I thought about all the things,
That I'd be able to do this vacation.
This is very new to me,
The area is quite contrasting.
I want to make memories here,
That will be forever lasting.
I wondered about the people,
And how school would be.
I wondered if, in the end,
Someone will actually be friends with me.
As the rain thundered on the car window,
I thought about my plans.
I wondered if this summer,
Would end in me holding hands.
Hopefully my plans for this summer,
Involve me and someone grinning.
For this is going to be,
A brand new beginning.
