Everything we'd been through,
After all of the memories made.
Even I couldn't rid her of her pain,
Or stop her from going down that lane.
Some people have nightmares,
About getting the call.
But me-
I didn't have to dream at all.
She was my drug,
And I had definitely overdosed.
But now all I could see,
Is just an image at most.
I should've said I love you,
One more time.
And kissed her once more,
Just to make her heart rate climb.
I know death is inevitable,
But I didn't think it would come this soon.
For I thought I could show her,
That my love went to the moon.
This was pain like no other,
But I still listened to her audio.
Her funeral,
Was the day after tomorrow.
