Please no.
Don't say I was too late.
Don't say she is now gone,
And arriving at heaven's gate.
She felt so useless,
And she felt so alone.
I didn't know why,
She didn't just pick up the phone.
I would've arrived at her house as soon as I could,
And hugged and kissed her troubles away.
Thinking about it now,
I should've done that anyway...
Days past, even weeks,
And yet everyday,
I still woke up,
Hoping she would only be a call away.
People don't understand when we tell them:
'I can't live without you',
We can,
We just don't want to.
I want out of this nightmare.
I keep pinching my skin.
To see if this life really is real,
And I'll have to actually live without her grin.
