Sorry, but I just didn't understand,
For how could I ever complain?
When his love for me,
Was my only reason to remain.
A lot was happening to me-
He could see it in my eyes,
I didn't know it yet,
But that he really did despise.
I couldn't give in-
Not again.
I wouldn't just let his love,
Go straight down the drain.
The man was testing me,
Trying to push me over the edge.
He beckoned me, and showed me,
As we sat on the ledge.
'Jump'- he whispered,
And I blocked my ears.
For I couldn't be reminded,
That I did not have any fears.
He wouldn't control me this time,
Or make my whole body sting.
But who knows about next time,
Because temptation is a very strong thing.
