A simple task

Chapter 5

                    Betty's POV
11:30 pm

My second task was quite easy. I had to negotiate with one of our buyers. I was talking to this man named Fp. He was being difficult but eventually I could agree something with him, and completed my second task.

At home

I was back at the trailer when I heard a loud knock on my door. I walk up to the door and open it. I didn't see anyone. I looked around and when I looked down I saw a note on the doorstep. I picked it up and read it

"Come to my house to get information for your 3rd task
-m"

It was a bit from Malachi. I'm getting my last task! I sure hope it won't be as easy as the other ones, that would be so boring and I don't believe it can be that easy to become serpent queen.
I hop in the shower and when I get out I  put on some joggers, a top and my serpent jacket. And head out to Malachi's place

At Malachi's house

I hop of my motorbike and stand in front of his door. I take a deep breath and knock on the door. I hear steps coming down the stairs and there he is. Malachi is standing in front of me and all he's wearing is these time shorts. I gasp and look him up and down. Malachi chuckles.
M: "like what you're seeing huh? Come in to my humble little home"
I start to blush a bit, but I manage to get myself together and I walk in.
B: "so what's my final task?"
M: "woah love, not so fast. You just got here let's just relax for a while."
The fact that Malachi wanted to relax with me was so... I don't even know how to describe it. I felt so happy and wanted to jump around, but I had to keep my shit together, so I just acted like I didn't care and was focused on my task.
B: "I don't think I can relax when I'm getting my task so I want to get it now and work on it."
M: "jeez party pooper.  All right let's just calm down and you know watch a  movie. Relax a bit."
He moves in closer and tries to kiss me. This is what I've always wanted but for some reason it didn't feel good and without thinking I just slapped him in his face and started yelling
B: "what the hell! I just came here for my task and nothing else. So get your dirty hand off of me!"
I didn't realize what I said until I said it. I just yelled at Malachi, the current serpent leader, that he had to get his dirty hands off me. How can I be this stupid. Now I'll never be serpent queen. But when I looked at Malachi he was laughing.
B: "wh- why are you laughing? I just yelled at you. Aren't you mad or something?"
M: "oh Betty, this was just a test to see if you would resist my seduction."
I was speechless I couldn't say a word
M: "you see, that test was for your final task. For your final task you can't let emotions get involved, you can't be seduced, you can't fall in love. Your final task is to kidnap the son of Fp Jones. His name is jughead Jones he goes to Riverdale high and lives on the north side."
B: "wait isn't Fp Jones the man I had to negotiate with? Why do I have to kidnap his son?"
M: "As you know Fp Jones is one of our buyers, but he's in dept with us. You see, there was a time that he spent in jail and he asked us to help him escape. So we did, but he never payed us back with anything. So you're going to kidnap his son. We'll take care of the rest."
B: "all right. I'll do it!"
I said it with full confidence while in the mean time I'm scared as hell, but I don't want to show it. Malachi gives me some more information and I get hop back on my motorbike.

The next morning

I get ready and look for my nicest clothes. Somewhere in the back of my closet I find a blouse and a pear of jeans and somehow I have some heels in my closet. I put them on and put my hair in the most tight ponytail. It makes my head hurt but I'll do anything to complete this task. I decided to borrow my friend Toni's
car and get to Riverdale high

At the school

Their almost done with school when I arrive. Malachi told me that jughead is always one of the last people to leave the school and that he walks home alone, so I'll just wait for him to get out of the school and have a little chat and when he last sees it coming I'll hit him with the bat. I hear the school bell ring and is see people walking out of the school. 30 minutes pass when he finally gets out of the school. The parking lot is completely empty so I decided I was gonna stand in the middle and wait for jughead to notice me.
