I showed Beatrice the way to the auditorium, and to be honest I didn't recognise anything. Everything was so...new. And posh. Following the loud voices coming from there, we found the room and I gasped.

This didn't look a thing like the last time I had come here in this auditorium. I couldn't believe this was the very room where Violet had been tested on useless anecdotes, Klaus was tested on pointless measurements, and I was tested on my staples.

"It's so cool," whispered Beatrice. "It sure is," I smiled. "We have to tell Violet and Klaus how much it has changed."

"Can you all see me?" asked a loud voice coming in front of the stage. It was Jacquelyn. "Can you all hear me?" The auditorium quieted down and looked at her. Next to her was a man I recognised as Larry, your, er, my waiter. "Didn't he die?" Beatrice said. I shrugged.

Larry started talking. "Young volunteers, welcome to the first year of the new and improved Prufrock Prep! As you all know, Prufrock has changed into a VFD training centre. Students aged 10 to 17 are accepted here. Apart from the different subjects and activities, it will be just like any other boarding school, which means that the same amount of discipline and etiquettes will be tolerated. Any questions?"

I raised my hand. Larry's eyes widened when he saw me and said, "Yes, Sunny? By the way, you've grown a lot."

"I thought you died in Hotel Denuemont," I said. Larry scoffed. "As if I hadn't been dunked in a pot full of Indian curry before."

"Who else?" A boy with brown hair and glasses raised his hand. "What will we learn here?" "You will know when you get your timetables," Larry replied.

"What do we do on the weekends?"

The questions kept coming and after that, Jacquelyn gave us all the timetables.

Beatrice and I were together in all the classes. "Woah, cool subjects," said Beatrice. "Well, we are training for a secret organisation, and all of this is related to VFD, and I love it!" I exclaimed.

Jacquelyn showed us girls our dormitories, where we could choose our roommate. Obviously, me and Bee chose each other. Our room had two beds in different corners of the room, and there was a wooden closet to keep our clothes in, and a bookshelf, and two desks for doing out homework. Next to my bed was a window that overlooked the pleasant view.

"This is great!" I said. "No Orphan Shack in sight."

"Sunny, this is a training centre of a secret organisation and probably about 50% of the school are orphans, so..." Beatrice trailed off.

"Hey, Jacquelyn?" I called. "What is it?" she asked. "I've noticed that none of the former teachers are there, not that I'm complaining," I said. "They aren't part of VFD anymore," she replied. "Why?" I asked. "They want to 'persue their dreams' instead of work for a very noble organisation," said Jacquelyn, annoyed. "Thank goodness Nero left."

Jacquelyn rounded all of us 10 year olds (and Beatrice) in the break room, or common room, and she explained all the rules of the school and everything. Then we were to go to the cafeteria for dinner.

Bee and I went together, where there were many kinds of food. I could do better though. Maybe I could help the cooks on a weekend or something. Larry was the waiter, of course.

I took a grilled cheese sandwich and Bee took pasta and a milkshake. I also took orange juice, and we both looked around for seats. Every seat was filled except a small table with two boys. We had no choice, so we sat there.

One of the boys was the brown-haired person who had asked a question earlier. "Hello," I said. The boys murmured hellos and continued eating. "What are your names?" asked Beatrice, making conversation. "Evan," muttered the brown haired boy. "Evan Anwhistle."

"So do you know Josephine Anwhistle?" I asked incredulously. Violet was right. The people here were only related to VFD. "She was my aunt," said Evan. "How did you know her?"

"She was mine and my siblings' guardian," I explained. "Count Olaf killed her."

"I know that," said Evan. "That Count Olaf's a bunch of maggots." "He's dead," I said. "Really?" asked Evan. "Yeah," I said. "What's your name?" he asked me. "I'm Sunny Baudelaire," I said, holding out my hand for him to shake.

"You're a Baudelaire?" he asked, surprised. "My parents always talk about you, and Violet and Klaus, I've been hearing them talk about you since I learned how to hear!"

"Really? Oh, right, my series of unfortunate events started when I was a baby," I said to myself. "You must be really smart," said Evan. "You should be a real Volunteer."

"I'm not that ready yet," I smiled.

Next to me, Beatrice and the other boy were talking. "I'm Flynn Widdershins," said the other boy. He had dark hair and looked a lot like Fiona Widdershins. "Are you related to Fiona and Fernald?" Beatrice asked him. "Yeah, I'm their brother," Flynn replied. "Cool," I said. Evan and I joined in on their conversation and the four of us became friends.

How would you rate Fiona 1 to 10, 10 being the best? I rate her 9 and 3/4. She's awesome. But it wasn't her fault that Klaus liked her. So no hate on Fiona please.
