Sebastian's POV:

As I sit at the kitchen table with my family, Maru talks excitedly about the farmer having her first Egg Festival at the town.

As she talks about Francesca, I can't help but feel bad. I haven't seen her since we dropped her off at the clinic that night that we rescued her from the mines. I can't get the image of her, bloodied and bruised, out of my head. If I were to see her now, I'm certain it would feel like seeing a ghost.

Besides that, it's been so long since I've seen her that I'm a little embarrassed to see her again. I definitely should've visited her the day she got out of the hospital.

"Seb, do you think you're going to participate in the Egg Hunt today?" My mom asks, scooping a spoonful of eggs into her mouth. Maru and Demetrius discuss the anatomy of an egg.

I shake my head, saying no. "I haven't been in it for like, six years now, mum."

She gives me a little smile. "I know. Just wondering. Do you think Francesca will be in it?"

I shrug. "Probably."

My mom frowns. "What's wrong?" She asks. She knows me too well.

I sigh. "I feel bad because I haven't visited her since we took her to the clinic. She's out now, but I just feel bad."

Maru looks at me. "If it makes you feel better, I haven't seen her either. And, you know, maybe she doesn't really want attention after it all," She says. I try to give her a smile.

She's right. I wouldn't want Francesca to be embarrassed by attention to her wounds.

I finish my breakfast and head back into my room to get ready for the festival. Just as I do every year. I am not very excited.

Francesca's POV:

I'm so excited! It's my first festival here in Stardew Valley. I've slowly been trying to feel like I'm actually part of this town, and what could do that better than a festival?!

Oh, shoot, I dropped Chicken 1. Maybe I should chill out a little.

My chickens don't make eggs yet; they're teensy tiny. But they do make pleasant little noises. They're fun little guys.

It's about 9:45. Technically, the festival started at nine, but I don't want to seem overeager and so I'm going to go at ten.

I work around the farm for a little bit longer, picking and watering crops, cleaning up a bit. The next fifteen minutes seem to take forever, and I give up on waiting until ten, and go into town at 9:52. On the walk there, I swear, I could smell eggs.

As I enter town, I'm immediately engulfed in bright colors and fun music. Pierre is at the entrance of town, sitting inside a little booth. I go to him, taking in all the sights. There's streamers and decorations and tables just covered with food. It's impressive, to say the least. My heart beats in excitement.

He grins at me. "Hello, Francesca, care to buy anything?"

"What are you selling?"

He shows me a few little house plants, a lawn flamingo, and some strawberry seeds. I don't have much gold, so I buy a few strawberry seeds and move on.

I can hardly contain my excitement as I see Leah and Elliott. They chat quietly, and upon seeing me, their eyes light up.

"Francesca!" Elliott calls. I practically skip over to them. Once I get close enough, he engulfs me in a soft but comforting hug. I can feel his heartbeat, and Leah laughs.

He pulls back, leaving his hands on my shoulders, and smiles in his elegant way. He looks at the stitches on my cheeks, frowns, and touches them gently. His hands are warm.
