*After school*

I got back home and went inside my house to see my moms co-worker cooking dinner in the house, while my mom was sitting on the couch watching tv.

Y/m: hey babe, how was school?

Nev: fine.

I got frustrated and went upstairs, going into Mariano's room.

Mar: what?

Nev: how long has Leo been here?

Lea: he's our dad so call him dad not Leo

Nev: he's not our dad and stop calling him that.

I snapped at her

Mar: she really has no idea what the truth is

I laughed because I knew mom had told her that Leo was our dad.

Nev: has he talked to you?

Mar: mhm and he played with Lea.

Nev: k.

I went back into my room, getting into the shower and changing into a sweatshirt and shorts

I checked the time and hopped on my bed watching Netflix.

Y/m: la cena está lista!

I heard small footsteps from Naileas room to mine.

Lea: we have to go eat, mamá said so.

Nev: k I'll be there in a little

Lea: she said right now vaeh

I laughed and followed Nailea downstairs to go eat.

Mar: oh so your boyfriend left once he made dinner and y'all made out while watching a nice lil romantic movie?

Y/m: is that why you both have an attitude? You know it's getting really tiring.

Nev: didn't you promise after that one guy you brought to the house you would never do it again?

Y/m: well Nevaeh, I'm a human and I make mistakes, I can't sit here and just reminisce moments I had with your dad before things got bad and you when you were just kids.

Mar: all I want is you to stop bringing random guys home and have Nailea confused, you fucking told her leo was her dad and you know that isn't true, he's from your fucking hospital!

Y/m: watch your mouth Mariano!

Nailea held onto my pinky finger as my mom and Mariano were arguing.

Lea: mommy, he's not our dad?

She looked sad.

Y/m: um-

Nev: no Lea, your real dad could be anywhere in the world right now all because he thought it would be best to leave since he was in the fucking mafia and people were after him.

Y/m: NEVAEH! You don't know that!

Mar: well it's pretty obvious! he was into some dangerous situation so was he in the mafia mom?! is that why you won't let us find anything out about him?!

She didn't respond

Y/m: lea take your food and go upstairs while we talk.

Nailea shook her head in agreement and carefully took her plate upstairs.

Nev: mom we aren't talking unless you're telling us the truth, you still walk around wearing your wedding ring and don't want to talk about the situation! You-

Y/m: because it's a sensitive topic Nevaeh! I'm tired of both of you guys acting like this, Mariano you've always been so protective over her!

Mar: because who else was!? Definitely not you, you're the one who let her get abused!

Y/m: you've always done this, it's tiring! I just want to make you guys feel comfortable in your own home!

Nev: while you're bringing guy after guy into the house?! At this point Nailea won't ever know who Emilio is!

Y/m: you guys are making sound like you guys meet so many guys when-

Mar: because it's true, after Wesley, Antonio, Matthew, Anthony oh and don't forget G-

Y/m: GO UPSTAIRS!

Nev: gladly.
