Episode 3: Intransigence

We open on the spacecraft, cruising through the morning sky. The artificial light inside of the craft has no chance in comparison to the sun bouncing off the side of the craft.

There is a flash of light and the scene changes to the campus of JOREN SECONDARY SCHOOL. Its inhabitants, both students and faculty/staff, are waking up and going about their morning routine. We see students in the cafeteria eating and talking. Some have on uniforms similar to the white top and black bottom combo we are used to seeing "The Three" in, but the students look happy and content as they stretch and begin exercises led by the Captain of the Cadet Guard.

We return to the ship where we see KREED and LUXE going over a 3-D flight plan with the both of them contributing points. KREED has his uniform on, but somehow he still manages to look less distinguished and put together than LUXE who is clearly in his element as he explains the flight plan to KREED.

INT. CRAFT.

MIDDLE TABLE-

ISSA and JAMESON are sitting across from each other going over notes and evidence from the day spent at JOREN.

JAMESON pulls up a picture of a student and ISSA points to her list.

ISSA
He is on here, but based on his hobbies and academic history, I don't think anything belongs to him.

JAMESON
(hoping to gain some insight to how a TEMPEST SISTER's mind works)
What makes you say that?

ISSA
[scrolls through profile of student]
The time capsule was the brainchild of the social studies and anthropological studies department. He didn't have either class, nor was he interested in anything that wasn't mandated.

JAMESON
What about-

His question is never voiced because BODHI, CALLYX, and CREDENCE walk over and join them.

BODHI
Anything of use?

ISSA
Depends.

CREDENCE
On what?

ISSA
[cuts her eyes at CREDENCE]
What he wants to use the information for?

BODHI
To catch the people we're after and to-

CALLYX
Win.

ISSA
We've eliminated four students and five members of the faculty.

CALLYX
Then why are we still docked?

ISSA
Elimination doesn't mean exclusion.

BODHI
You- what?

ISSA
The logged items are telling about the students, but not the school. The school is the target. Well, it should be.

BODHI
We don't hunt buildings.

CALLYX
They don't move.

CREDENCE
That's why you have us. The school is the one thing that everybody on your target list has in common.

ISSA
Students are admitted based on merit and academic capability and how well they may be able to contribute to society.

CREDENCE
[snorts]
Then how'd you and your sister get in?

ISSA
The same reason the three of you sought me out this morning: we're the best.

CUT TO

INT. COMBATIVES GYM

ISYS is shown in her physical training uniform. She is working out/training hard. Very similar to the way she was training in the first episode. She is surrounded by SIMMEN with weapons and engaged with others in hand to hand combat.
