Before I can even think about reacting to the situation, a sword comes out of BK's torso and stops a few inches from me, before retracting back through his body. He falls to the floor in obvious pain, and behind him is an African American woman wielding the sword. "We have to go." she says to Andrea, Glenn, and I. "Go where? Who the hell are you?" I question her. "Anywhere but here, I'm sure he has friends that are probably gonna start looking for him soon. We shouldn't be here. Follow me." She instructs. Glenn and Andrea look my way for clearance. I nod my head, silently instructing my group to follow her. Afterall, she did just save our lives, and looking around, we don't have too many other options. I pick up BK's sawed off, and follow the sword wielding woman into the woods.

"Where are you taking us?" I ask. "Somewhere safe." She responds. "Well I'm Shane. Can I at least get your name?" I urge. "Michonne." She answers simply. We follow her for about 10 minutes before we come to another small clearing with a tent and two geeks wearing backpacks chained to a tree. Something is weird about the geeks. They don't seem vicious or aggressive. Their arms have been cut off, and their mandibles removed also. "I'm back. I brought some friends." She announces to seemingly nobody. Is she talking to the geeks? Maybe this chick is nuts and I'm allowing her to lead my people into some kind of ambush. Just then, a caucasion female emerges from the tent, thankfully dispelling my previous thoughts about Michonne. The caucasion girl gives Glenn a very flirtatious look, biting her lip. I turn to Glenn. "You saw that right?" I ask. "Saw what?" Glenn answers. He's completely oblivious. "Nothin' man." I give up.

"Shane, this is Maggie. Maggie, Shane. I didn't get the others names." Michonne announces to Maggie as she takes a seat in the grass. Maggie? I know that name from somewhere but I can't put my finger on it. I point to Andrea who is holding her hands in front of the armless and jawless geeks, teasing them. "That's Andrea, and this single, badass Korean is Glenn." I talk him up to Maggie who I think is clearly into him. He looks embarrassed now, but he'll thank me later. I go and sit by Michonne. "So why did you save us? You could've let us die, but you didn't." I wonder. "Honestly? We saw your group last night, kept our eyes on you in case you were trouble. I wanted to leave, but lucky for you, Maggie there thought your asian friend was cute. She couldn't stop talking about him." She explains. I let out a chuckle. I knew it. "So what's the plan here?" I inquire. "Same as everyone else. Survive." She answers.

"That's a pretty neat trick with the geeks. Do they repel other geeks, or do they just carry your gear?" I curiously ask. "Geeks huh? Okay. They do both." She answers. "You two holdin' up somewhere?" I question. "Maggie used to live on a farm, and I lived in the city so, nope, just here." She replies. Wait a second. I know where I heard Maggie's name now. From Beth. She lived on a farm too, it has to be her sister. "Excuse me for a second." I say to Michonne as I stand up and approach Maggie. "Hey Maggie. Is Beth your sister?" I ask. She looks confused. "Yeah. How did you--" she starts. "Your sister was part of my group. Her and Daryl joined up with us about a week or 2 ago." I interrupt. "Is she okay?" She asks. "I don't know. We were staying at Fort Benning, and we were attacked. We all fled and got split up. That's why it's just the 3 of us. There used to be 11." I explain.

"Well we have to find them." Maggie suggests. "We will, in due time. For now we need to--" I begin. "What do you mean in due time? We need to find her now!" She cuts me off. "Hey I have loved ones out there to..." I notice Andrea put her head down. "But right now we need to do what we need to do for US. We're out of food, and looking around here, doesn't seem like you have any either. So what do you say we find us a temporary place to stay that has some walls, and find some food and supplies. That way we can have the energy to smartly look for our people, instead of wandering aimlessly through the woods with empty stomachs and no supplies." I explain. Maggie doesn't look like she fully agrees but she doesn't have an alternative plan, so she's just gonna have to deal with it. With that, we gather our ample supplies and hit the road looking for refuge.

After walking the area for an hour or so, we've come across an overrun prision and an abandoned meat locker. The prision would be great. There's probably food, gear, weapons, and ammo in there, but we don't have the supplies or the manpower to take it right now, so we set up camp in the meat locker a few miles away. It's fairly clean and a decent size. I wouldn't want to stay here for too long, but it'll have to do for now. We spend the day doing a run into Atlanta for sleeping bags, blankets, ammo, food, clothing, antibiotics and things of that nature. There has been no sign of Lori and the others. I hope they're okay, but at the same time, these are the people I'm with now, and we need to be ready to endure a cold winter, whether we find them or not.
