Leah
He took his leave whilst I was paralysed with shock. He was supposed to reject me in the harshest possible way. I have looked at the situation in every on of his possible angles and all of them lead to a rejection, why the hell is he agreeing? What am I supposed to do now?
God knows how longI was sat there before a tap on my shoulder was enough to break me out of my thoughts.
"Leah, lets go to the cinema together like the good old days." Jax said with his arm draped around Nathan's shoulders.
Oh, how I miss those carefree days.
"I'm afraid that those days are long gone." I replied finishing off the remaining milkshake.
I can't let a good milkshake go to waste.
Nathan came out of Jaxs' grip and sat in the seat opposite me. He starts to eat Adonis' leftovers.
"That idiot, always leaving good food." He mumbled under his breath.
"How long have you been with him?" I ask.
"Ummm I met him about a year ago." He answers, his mouth full of food. I scrunch my nose whereas Jax was looking at him in adoration.
'That's my bro' his eyes screamed.I'll admit seeing them both here with me, chilling in a cafè really does remind of those days where the only problems I had were solved in maths, there was just one person missing.
My lips involuntarily tugged up into a soft smile. I really didn't want to ruin this moment.
Nathan knows he's wrong, I saw his regret when I walked in. I can scold him anytime and I could use a distraction.
"Sure" I blurted causing them both to look up at me in confusion. "Lets go to the cinema." I stuffed the last peice of cookie into my mouth and made a move to stand up.
"AYOOOO WE GOING TO THE MOVIEESSS, I GOT YOUR CARD AND IMA MAKE YOUR ASS BANKRUPT AT THE SNACK BAR. OH MY GOD! WHAT SHOULD WE WATCH? A CHEESY ROMCOM OR A CLICHÈ HORROR MOVIE, THERE'S SO MUCH TO CHOO-" I drag him out of the cafè.
"Let us at least get to the cinema first to explore our options before we overplan and get disappointed" I advise once we were outside.
I looped my arms into my two best friends, but I couldn't help missing another as we made our way to the 'movies'.
Americans are weird for calling it the 'movies' you go to a CINEMA to watch a MOVIE, not the other way around.
But who am I to judge.
When we reached the cinema, Jax bought the tickets. Nate was always on snacks duty, but we were way to early, so our snacks would get crusty and cold. Which is why we were currently sitting in a park a few streets away from said cinema.
I sat in between Jaxsons' legs with Nathans' head on my lap and the rest of his body sprawled across the floor. We were in a comfortable silence as Jax played with a strand of my hair, Nate messing with a daisy he plucked from the ground and me watching the ripple of the lake infront of us.
"It's times like these that I miss him." Nate mutters. We stay silent thinking of our absent friend.
"As much as we all miss him, he won't want us mopping around without him." Jax anounces.
"What was going on between you and loverboy earlier?" Jaxon asked quirking his brow.
"The way he described it, there will be a wedding. I can't get my head around it. The grudge is still there, I saw it, I felt it. Why would he want to marry someone he holds a grudge against?" I explain my thoughts aloud.
"I told you that he won't be able to reject you, no one in their right minds would reject you." Jax utters.
"Leah, instead of thinking about what He would do, or why He did something. Think about what You would do in his place. I swear to God you guys are so alike you practically share the same sou-" He shuts himself up.
"Why would anyone want to marry someone they despise?" I question out loud. Nate and Jax both turn to me with a 'you can't be serious' look.
"He should hating on me right now, trying to find my weaknesses and taking rev......... Oh he is marrying me for revenge." I realise causing the males to chuckle.
"Come on, we got a movie to catch." Jax comments as he stands to help Nate and I up. We went to the theatre, bought all the refreshments they had to offer as we had watched the screening. But my mind was elsewhere.
What could he be planning? Why would he want to waste his time on me, I am not worth it? What I did had hurt him this bad? Of course it did, he only knows a few lines your story. It will be ok, just don't let him find out any of your weaknesses then he will eventually get. Who am I trying to kid, this is Xavier.
God, I wish lixxie was here, he would know what to do.
