Xavier
I stand outside my parents house waiting for someone to answer."Hey, honey." Mother greets me at the door.
It was the night before the wedding. Mum and Dad thought it best if we were to gather and spend the night round the family home.
"Is Leah here?" I ask as I walk into the hallway of the home.
"Yes, she is in her room." Mum answers, a grin beaming on her lips as I roll my eyes.
"Xavier Adonis Kallum Huntington." A voice rings through the hall.
A voice I haven't herd in a long time.
I gape at the figure before me, a smile gradually making it's way onto my face.
"Why is that I, AKA the most important guest, have to find out about your wedding on an invite, Two weeks before the actual wedding?" She whines as I make my way to pull her into my embrace.
She slowly wraps her arm across my waist. She pinches my sides causing a yelp to tumble out of my mouth.
"Why didn't you tell me sooner about your girl. She seems so nice, and boy is she beautiful." She exclaims as she punches my arm.
"I'm sorry you weren't answering my phone calls." I comment sarcastically brushing passed her and into the lounge.
"Oi Bozo, you should have told me before least of all text me. How did you even manage to snag a girl like that?" She nags as she follows me around, her sneakers squeak across the floor.
"Because I'm irresistable." I shrug as she laughs.
"Yeah right." She manages to get out in between chuckles.
"It was arranged." A new voice echos around the room from the doorway as a response. We both turn to see Nate dressed up in his signiture colour.
"Hello, Naveah. Long time no see." He smiles at her. She smiles back as she greets him before he leaves and she turns back to me.
"So that's how all this occurred." She says refering to Nates' previous comment.
"I knew you wouldn't be able to get a girl like her." She begins to chuckle lightly.
"Why would I not be able to get a 'girl like her'?" I question, raising my brows.
"Isn't it obvious, you're out of her league. You're seriously lucky that a female as pretty, kind and intelligent as her has agreed to be with you." She declares as my eyes narrow.
"1. How would you know all that about her when you've just met her and 2. I can get girls, I have gotten a lot of girls in the past." I voice out as she shakes her head.
"We tend to give away a lot during a first encounter and how many girls have ever tried to seduce you, better yet how many girls have you seduced?" She asks as the room goes quiet
"She could just be wearing a mask." I mumble looking down at the floor.
"Maybe, but she doesn't have to put on a show for me. During our first encounter I can tell she cares deeply for you and your family." She voices standing from the couch and leaving the room.
Maybe she wasn't wearing a mask? Maybe I have it wrong?
But that doesn't change the past, the facts.Just then Nate enters again with Jaxon trudging behind him.
"Yo, your getting married tomorrow. Lets have some fun." Nate comments placing a few beers on the coffee table, taking a seat beside me.
"I really shouldn't be drinking the night before my wedding." I sigh out as I roll my eyes.
