Once I had arrived back home, I untack Butter and give him a little massage before placing him back in his stall with fresh water and and an apple. I walk out into the pastures with Caramels headcoller and gasp at how muddy she was. She is usually the clean one of them all but I guess today that's different . Just like today I guess , meeting Maiya and seeing that strange bay. After bringing Carrie in I grab my grooming box and begin to revive the cleanness in her coat. I finish grooming and walk over to the tack room when I feel my phone buzzing in my back pocket. Ash again. I don't think she's able to put her phone down. I pick up and the first thing I hear is:
"OMG YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED!"
"What?"
"IM MOVING TO WEST VICKY!"
"WHAT?WHEN?HOW?!"
"Ok I'll explain!"This is incredible news! I can introduce her to Maiya and she can be with Barten.
"Go on then!" I say a smile crawling across my face.
"I asked my parents if I could visit you at some point and they said I if I could find a place to stay I could live here!"
"When was this? It's not like your parents to act on something over night!"
"Well no, of course not. Not over night anyway. You know they are strict so this was a stretch to ask but they just smiled and said that if I had good GCSEs they would help me find a home in West Victoria."
"AND?"
"THEY DID!"her voice got increasingly louder as the news got better and better. "So we looked online for houses or places or rooms to rent and we found this lovely family with a girl around our age with a huge house and stable block. They showed us pictures of my room and their is a beautiful view  of a huge flower field. Oh it's amazing Courtney!"
Her life dreams are truly coming true but I wonder what she is going to do here. Without a horse and all. I don't ask incase she becomes mad at me.
"When are you here?" I ask. I can't wait untill she arrives.
"Two weeks! I know it seems like forever but it's only fourteen days so only thirteen nights!"She laughs," Anyway I've got to go mum wants me!"
"Bye then."
"Bye!"

I rode Caramel for an hour before bringing her back into the stables . By this time I didn't have enough time to lunge, ride and wash so I decided to just lunge Gala then give butter and Caramel a quick wash. After finishing all that I let all the horses eat then take them all out into the large field before locking the gate and sitting down on the edge of the haystack and pull out my phone. Two messages from Maiya.
"Thanks for letting me ride and muck out with you today.
We have a new girl moving into our house in two weeks so I will be really busy but would you like to go out for a ride on Friday?"
"I would love to! We can meet at mine again yeah?"
I send the message and look at the clock ; four pm. Wow time sure does fly here.

I walked into the house and am greeted by a large fluffy mudball holding a dead bird in its mouth. Her eyes looked up at me with happiness as she clearly thought she had gifted me with the greatest gift of all great gifts. I grab disposable gloves from the kitchen and take the poor bird and hand it over to Braden as he offered to take it. I picked up Pearl and quickly dispatched her in the bathtub. She doesn't mind water so playfully jumped about splashing water up the clean bathroom walls and all over my shirt. By the time Pearl was clean and dry it was time to go lock up the stables and make sure the water was turned off out in the pastures.

Walking down to the hose I look out into the forest and see a horse like figure running through the trees. Ruby walks over to the water through I was stood by and rubbed her face against the sleeve of my jacket I had put on before coming out because it was dark and cold out. I sit in the grass beside the through and Ruby lays beside me laying her head on my lap that was drenched from Pearls bath. The filly wasn't too bothered by the wetness and I felt her slowly drifting off to sleep. I look up to the sky and see the stars,
"Soon enough I'll stop talking to them Ruby," she lifts her head to me as I say her name," I have a new friend now. Maiya. You know her Ruby the girl that came to help. She is nice, funny and filled me in on everything that happened since we originally left West Victoria. I'll miss talking to the stars every night but Maiya is probably a better friend."

I stand up, once Ruby walked off, and I lock the stable doors and walk back up to the house. There is another note on the table. It read:
Mum is already in bed and me and your brother are working late planning in the basement so grab yourself some dinner and head up to bed, I'll see you in the morning my little filly
-Dad
