Aries

Chapter 14

I couldn't help myself. Perhaps emotion took over what I knew was right but I did it anyway.
As night fell I waved goodbye to Ruby and began sneaking my way over to the path leading to Maiyas house  but made sure I went past the back fields of her acres. I wouldn't call it breaking and entering but I was intent on getting into Aries' pasture. From the other messages I received from Ash that day Aries wouldn't let them bring her inside.

Once I finally made it to the back pastures I heard the mares loud calls out to the wild. Her live had been completely changed since I came here. If I hadn't moved back then Ash would have never come and she would still be frolocking in the flowers or relaxing under the star tree. However that is not the way. Of course it can't be all perfect.

The light of the moon gave a slight glow around Aries, her silhouette grand and yet afraid. I take a couple more steps closer and she clocks my presence. We keep eye contact for a while before she continues whinnying. I slowly approach her and her head lowers over the fence. Stroking her nose, I begin talking to her,
"Hey Aries. Long time no see" two days was enough away from her.
"Guess I should call you Lilly now" Aries jerks her head away after she heard her new name
"No I didn't think it fit her either"
I jumped and turned around.
"Who's there?" I call out to the darkness,"What do you want?"
"I should be asking you the same thing, sneaking around my family property" my heart dropped. How could I forget about Chase?!

He steps out into the light, his short ginger hair looked brown in the dimness.
"How is she?" He asked signalling towards Aries." None of us ever got that close to her before, she seems to like you." Aries sneezes and he chuckled.
"If no one's gotten close enough how did you get her here?" I already knew but asked anyway.
"I know you know the answer to that question," my face must show worry as her explains," I'm no stalker I was just a look out as technically on your property. That tree has always been a point of argument but you must have claimed it with your stars." I laugh weakly . Shock was still in me from being caught where I was.
"So Aries huh?" As soon as her name is mentioned she looks at Chase"Maiya told me you liked stars." How could she do this? She told me she wouldn't tell anyone anything I told her especially the stargazing.
"Did she say anything else about me?" I ask crossing my arms upset Maiya lied to me.
"Nothing much about you no." Aries had walked back over to us and he began stroking her face.
"What about Ash?" They seem close, perhaps even closer than me and Ash.
"Ashley? Well she likes her I guess they get on well but Aries here seems to be starting a argument between them." He frowned. "If you want a chance with her I would recommend helping Ashley school her ya'know now that you have me to help back you up you'll surely get asked. She's schooling her around ten in the morning."
"Alright" I say nodding.
"See you there?" He asked
"See you there." I wasn't giving up on Aries now. We both turn around and go our separate ways.
