It was dark, the air rushing past you in a loud roar as you tightly held onto Dabi's waist, pressing your head against his back. Dabi drove the bike faster than what it had felt like when you came, but you couldn't be sure. It could've just been the dark around you that made it seem faster.

"Y/N", Dabi spoke loudly, turning his head around halfway to face you. "Look you where you're going!", you reprimanded, "what?". "You. I'm taking you somewhere", he stated, still not looking ahead, a smirk on his face. You tried not to grab his head and turn it to the front. "Where and why?", you asked anyway, "I thought you just took me somewhere".

Thankfully easing some of your anxiety, he shortly looked to the front before returning to look at you. "The city and because I want to. I haven't been for a while", he spoke, "and it's a favourite place of mine". You raised your eyebrow at him. At this time still? "You sure have a lot of favourite places", you mumbled absentmindedly, "and anyways, I'm poor". He rolled his eyes. "It's called a date. I pay for you".

Your eyes grew big as the heat in your cheeks grew. You pressed your lips together, trying to hide the grin on your face. "Okay", was all you managed to mumble. To that, you saw Dabi's smirk grow largely.

Dabi drove the bike in front of what looked like a small pub, the engine quieting down and eventually going silent as he killed it. "A pub? You really seem to like pubs", you mumbled as you got off the bike. "I don't see why not", he mumbled, shrugging, as you tried to organize your hair. "I don't know if I can go in there like this", you desperately pulled at a knot in your hair, almost wincing at the sharp pain it sent through your scalp. You felt Dabi's hand move yours aside as he gently undid the knot. "Angelface, you have nothing to worry about. You look insanely hot", he mumbled, running his hands down your neck, arms and clamping his hands over yours as he rested his chin on your head.

You felt the colour grow in your cheeks. "I don't want to look hot", you scowled, "I want to look alluring, haunting, bewitching. I want to look like the kind of person Hozier would write a song about". You could feel the grin on his face as he stepped around you, wrapping his arm around your lower back and pulling you along. "Then come with me, my alluring and bewitching Angel", he mumbled, walking you towards the pub.

You chuckled lightly, unable to focus on anything besides his burning touch against your back.

The moment you stepped foot into the pub you were overwhelmed with chatter, loud music and a strong smell of alcohol. To your surprise the pub was bustling with people. You and Dabi managed to snake your way through the masses and to the bar. "Can I buy you a drink?", Dabi sent you a sheepish grin, joking. You pretended to think about it before shaking your head. "Actually, I'd just have the money", you stated.

Dabi chuckled before calling over the bartender. You zoned out of their short conversation as you looked around. The bar was a step higher than the rest of the small pub. You looked over many tables with people sitting around them, either playing cards, talking or some even passed out. There was even someone lying next to their chair, looking way too comfortable for the position they were in as they slept, blissfully unaware. Your eyes drifted to a dark hallway that people seemed to constantly come and go from. You wondered what that was all about.

Your attention returned to in front of you again as you felt the drinks being set down. You picked up the glass, sipping from it in the hopes that it'd kill some of your embarrassment. You found Dabi staring at you, his alcohol untouched. "What?", you asked, holding his eyes. A crooked grin rose to his lips.

"Did it hurt?", he asked, staring at you with a mischief in his eyes that you knew all to well. "Let me guess – when I fell from heaven?", you retorted. He let out a soft snicker, turning to look at his glass as he sloshed the liquid around. "No", he mumbled, giving you a side glance, "when you fell for me?". You couldn't help the smile that rose to your lips. "Are you sure you're not sick again?", you mumbled.

"Sick?", he tilted his head to the side, "no, I don't think so. Just maybe ... high". You let out a laugh. "High? On what exactly?".

His smile grew into a crooked grin once more as he suddenly leaned in close, his eyes mere inches from yours. "You're literally so fucking physically and mentally attractive to me, it drives me crazy", his voice was almost strained as he bit his lip, still grinning at you, "you have no idea what you do to me, Y/N".

You swallowed. "What's up with you? Since when are you this cheesy?", you spoke, trying hard to keep your voice level. He sighed lightly, yet still remained unmoving. "Just for tonight", he mumbled quietly, it was almost desperate, "can we forget that I'm a terrible person and that you hate me?".

It took you a short while to find your voice again. "I don't think you're a terrible person, nor do I hate you", you muttered, almost breathless. It seemed as if a spark had suddenly been lit in his steely blue eyes as he scooted his chair closer to yours. "You know what I've noticed?", he mumbled, "your really shit at accepting anything close to compliments".

"Boy, that's really romantic", you mumbled sarcastically, trying to calm your racing heart. "Its really shitty how you cant accept a compliment because of how you're used to being defined by what you don't have". "By what I don't have?", you swallowed again, looking around to spot a pretty looking waitress, "like a flawless face and body, like a perfect 100% thigh gap?". You could feel your heart sink at your own realization.

Dabi huffed, grabbing your chin to make you look at him again. "Who cares if you don't have a perfect thigh gap and your thighs touch? I'm gonna separate them for you anyways, Angel", he smirked, yet his eyes were the most gentle you'd ever seen them, "if it takes me having to remind you that I've never met anyone else who has had such little desire to settle for being ordinary, or the ability to stay angry because you hate fuming the day away, and every other negative trait that I find in everybody else, then that is exactly what I'll do. Because it's what you lack, that's made you more beautiful than anybody else".

You were stunned into silence at his words, much less his sudden grammar improvement. "I-I", you struggled to find words, "I didn't know you could talk like that". Dabi chuckled at your answer. "There's still a lot you don't know about me", he pointed out, "but you'll find out soon enough".

You stared at the man you thought you had completely figured out. Your understanding of him nearly did a 180. He wasn't just the simple criminal who had turned into one because of a rough past. Sure, that was a big part. But there was so much seemingly more to him. To some extent you had known this, of course you did, how else would you have fallen for him? There was always more to people, especially absolutely amazing people like him. He knew more than he let on, he saw more than he let on. You could've punched yourself for well, not underestimating his depth as a person, but for letting the outside circumstances make you overlook the small details to the person he was. You thought you had fallen in love with him before, but this was some next level shit. It was like the full force of this magnificent person, being yours, having feelings towards you, finally hit you. And it left you breathless with euphoria.

"So, are you just going to continue staring at me?", he mumbled. "I think so", you mumbled, too dazed to really focus. Was it the drink? No. It was him. It was plainly the person sitting in front of you. You finally understood the meaning of getting high off another person. "Well, stop. It's weird".

"You can't tell me that's weird!", you frowned at him. "Nothings stopping me", he mumbled, running his hand down the side of your face, making you suppress a shiver. "You'd be surprised", you grumbled. Dabi grinned at you. "I'll be back. Wait here", he suddenly said, getting up without another word and walking towards the hallway. The bathroom maybe?

You sighed, slumping together as you downed the whole glass. This was crazy. It was definitely not like this before.
