The atmosphere in the car was quiet and tense. I think that we were all holding our breath and hoping that everything was ok with the house.
"Sooooo um what are you guys looking forward to when we get settled in?"
Miles and Kinsley looked over at me and smiled.
They both said at the same time "Some Italian sausage."
A normal person would have thought that they were talking about food but I wasn't normal so I knew.
"Miles I would have never guessed that you were gay. Maybe that's why Jax didn't mind you being around Skylar."
I had to agree with Kins. I knew that something was up when miles had told me that Jax sent him to watch after me. That also explained the motherly feeling I always got from him.
He laughed and stared at me.
"Let's talk about you and Jax. What's going on with y'all?"
Kinsley agreed before staring at me.
I shook my head and said, "nothing is going on between us."
Kinsley smacked her lips before saying, "yeah right. I feel the sexual tension between y'all whenever we are trapped together."
I rolled my eyes and looked out the window realizing that I might be in love with my best friend. We had been together in the past but i never thought that those feelings would re-occur.
Miles sighed before saying, " there's nothing wrong with catching feelings. I mean I would too if he looked at me the way that he looks at you."
"Miles what are you talking about?"
"Sky when you were asleep in his arms he looked down at you and smiled while studying your face. He looked like he was in love with you."
"I agree babe. He was looking at you like you were his whole world.
After Kinsley said that I looked down at my lap to hide my smile.
I wanted to ask him about that but I knew he would probably never admit to doing that.
The car had grown back silent.
We were all starting to wonder what was taking them so long.
Before I could open my mouth and ask what was taking them so long we heard what sounded like a bomb go off.
Jax's POV
A dead body.
A body in my backyard.
The face was unrecognizable which led me to believe that this person was someone that I didn't know.
The Russians had a weird way of killing people.
If they killed someone that you knew then they would make sure that you knew it was that person. They wouldn't destroy their face like this guy.
After thinking about who this person was I started to walk closer before realizing that there was a bomb right next to him.
I knew I wasn't going to make it in the house without getting hit but I could try.
I started running towards the house and right when I made it to the door the bomb went off sending guts and old blood everywhere.
I kicked the door down before yelling at my men to evacuate the house because it was going to explode.
Once I got a headcount we started heading towards the car.
When I opened the car door, the house blew up. The heat was so intense on my back. I struggled to get into the car.
Once I sat down I looked over and saw Skylar and Kinsley staring at me with big eyes and an open mouth.
I slowly smiled at them and started humming to the radio.
I knew that I looked like a maniac with blood all over my face.
That made me smile even harder.
These motherfuckers tried to kill me and everyone that was with me.
Now that I knew they were here, I wasn't gonna stop until I had that bitch's head on a black platter
They messed with the wrong Don.
