Chapter 12✔️

Skylar's POV

The walk to my mom's room was very short. It also happened to be quite awkward. Once we made it to her room Jax knocked on her door and walked in.

My mom looked over at me and got up.

"Hey, baby. How are you?"

I smiled before saying, " I'm fine momma. We are here to check on you and fill you in on what exactly happened to you and what's going on."

She nodded her head and sat down. She looked at us expectantly.

Jax started to tell her about his "business" and what he does for a living. I could tell that she was a little disappointed to find out that he was doing stuff like this. I guess he picked up on her mood change and reassured her that he was not doing anything illegal. Except for the part where he kills people, I thought to myself.

As I was sitting here I felt something that I didn't want to feel right now. I excused myself and went to the bathroom.

Once I got in I did my business and realized that my period had started much to my dismay.

I walked to the room making sure to grab my toiletry bag and take care of all of that. Once I was down I went back to my mom's room.

Once I walked in they were both staring at me. I waved my hand and sat back down. My mom went back to talking about what had happened to her and what led her to call me.

I was listening carefully but I couldn't focus. There was a heated gaze on the side of my face. I looked over and made eye contact with him. Soon enough I looked away and continued listening to my mother talk. Her voice is very calming.

After about thirty more minutes of conversation with my mom, we parted ways. Once we got back to the room I threw myself on the bed and groaned in pain.

"Are you ok?"

I looked up at him before shaking my head no.

He slowly sat down by me with a frown on his face before slowly picking me up and putting me in his lap.

"What's wrong?"

You could hear how worried he was.

"I'm cramping and sleepy."

He nodded his head before telling me that he would be right back.

I looked up at him as he walked into the bathroom.

I could hear the water running and after four minutes he came out and looked at me with a soft smile on his face.

"I ran you a bath for your cramps. Get in and relax and I'll be back. Ok?"

I smiled and got up. Once I walked in I saw that he had picked out a pair of comfy PJs and had already pulled out my toiletries and underwear.

I smiled to myself and sank into the warm water. I felt my muscle loosening up. I sighed in relief and closed my eyes.

Jax's POV

After leaving the room I went downstairs to the kitchen and started grabbing snacks for her.

I've known her for as long as I can remember, so when her time of the month came I always know what to do to make her feel better.

After gathering everything I made my way back to the room.

Once I made it back I started setting everything up before checking the time.
