He had been shot.

And there was no way for me to know if he was ok right now.

Skylar's POV

I could feel myself breathing heavier as I took in the news I just received. I thought this was over. I thought that we would be able to go back to our normal lives.

I felt Kinsley's hand on my shoulder.

"We are heading over there now. Jax was too busy looking at you to make sure you were safe. Whoever shot him was in a blind spot. No one saw him, all we saw was Jax gripping his stomach."

I looked over at John with my eyebrows raised. Why would he look over at me? He knew that I had learned how to defend myself, so why did he put his life on the line just to make sure I was ok?

I let out a deep breath and leaned on Kinsley. I wanted to cry but I knew it wouldn't do me any good. The only thing on my mind was making sure that he was ok and making sure that my unborn child was ok as well.

1 hour later,

Jace POV

I had managed to get to the nearest hospital without stopping. I couldn't believe this dumbass had actually been shot. It didn't hit me until his body went limp in my arms.

Thankfully someone had seen me carrying my blooded brother and helped me out. Now I'm sitting here waiting to hear anything from the doctor.

I soon found myself lost in thought

Skylar is really pregnant by my brother?

So that means they had *gulp* sex?

I was soon pulled out of my thoughts by a loud commotion. I slowly stood up and looked around and realized that people were running and ducking.

I pulled out my gun and went in the direction of the sounds. Once I rounded the corner I saw two unknown men with guns walking through the hall filled with bloodied bodies.

'You've got to be fucking kidding me.' I whispered to myself before silently following behind.

I slowed my steps to a complete stop before quickly putting my silencer on my gun and checking to make sure it was loaded. Once I was sure that everything was in place, I lifted my gun and quickly put a bullet in both of the men.

I carefully walked around their now dead bodies and slowly looked around the corner. I needed to find my brother.

I followed the signs until I got to the OR. I looked through the window and saw his body laying on the table.

'This room must be soundproof' I thought to myself before sliding down the wall and pulling my phone out.

I needed to call them and tell them not to come here. I dialed my dad and waited for him to lick up.

'Hello?'

'Dad don't come here. Please. Someone shot the hospital up. Jax is ok and the doctors are still working on him as we speak.'

'We are already here. I'm coming in. Aries and the others are here as well. What room are you by?'

'Room OR1013. Be careful.'
