After settling down with the family and the two arrivals at a couple of park benches, Ace came closer to you and hugged you around the shoulders. He sat right beside you and dragged you even closer to him making your stomach flutter crazily as your face grew an embarrassed blush, but you couldn't even complain at this point. His company, his touch and his scent felt amazing, and you couldn't help but crave for more.
You relaxed into his arms. Feeling your tensed up form be replaced by a less alert one, Ace smiled down at you sweetly, eyes locking in with yours and raising havoc inside your heart.
I could just eat him up right now.
Rouge was staring at you two with a smile. Obviously not in a way that would make you uncomfortable, but still suggestively. She knew angels weren't supposed to forge relationships with humans, being romantic or friendly, but it wasn't really a rule. It was simply that angels didn't usually like interacting, their emotions being much less strong that those of humans. You were different though. Your emotions were just as strong as those of humans and it led you to be able to interact with the citizens as if you were one of them.
There was something special about you she hadn't yet being able to figure out. It was almost as if you had different DNA than the other angels.
"Ace! Oh my!" A sweet voice was heard behind you while you talked with the family.
Turning around, you spotted Isuka. A young woman who had passed while fulfilling her duty as a marine. Marines weren't usually sent into your realm, for an obvious reason - they would clash with Roger, but she had arrived here and, luckily for you, she hadn't caused any problems. You had yet to figure out why she had been sent in here, given that none of her family or known ones lived in your realm.
"Oooh! Marine woman!" Ace smiled excitedly as he recognized the woman and stood up from the bench, approaching her to greet her properly.
Marine woman?
The young former marine smiled and received the freckled guy with open arms.
Huh?!
It wouldn't be appropriate for you to admit, but seeing Ace act so excited about another woman made you feel a tiny bit of jealousy. Maybe a lot of jealousy. Still, you weren't going to let it get in the way. Him being familiar with another woman was actually a good thing. The more people inside the realm he knew the easier it was going to be for him to recover from the initial shock of dying.
"What happened to you?!" Asked Ace in shock, holding the woman's face gently.
Their bodies were pressed together and their faces were barely separated by a couple of centimeters.
Too close.
You stood there, stiff as a tree while you watched like a hawk your crush interact with Isuka, fire in your now unblinking eyes and ready to destroy the woman if necessary.
Rouge walked over to you, hugging you sweetly and giggling as she whispered in your ear.
"What's wrong honey?"
"N-nothing." You grumbled, eyes stuck on Isuka.
"She used to chase Ace back on the earth. She tried to capture him, that's how they know each other."
"That's good." You grumbled, still staring at the pair. They had gained a little bit of space, but they were still talking excitedly, smiling from ear to ear at the fact that they had encountered each other.
"Oh, right! I forgot, forgive me young marine." Chuckled Newgate. "She had come asking me about you, Ace. I was going to tell you she was looking for you earlier." He smiled warmly at the pair.
