After dropping Ace off at his home, you flew back to your office in which all your cherubs rested when they didn't have work to do. If Gabriel, your messenger angel, was resting in his cushion, that would mean that either Newgate had already woken up, or your little angel had fallen asleep.

Once you arrived, you saw Gabriel sleeping soundly in his little den.

Oh no. Either I'm late or he's got no idea of what's going on.

"Gabriel! How's Newgate doing?"

"Still asleep Miss!" He mumbled sleepily, rubbing his eyes as he straightened his torso a little to look at you better.

"Gabriel...?" You asked again, dragging his name to emphasize that you totally knew he was lying.

"Uh- Miss, I- I don't really know. After Portgas I fell asleep."

Even though you should've, you couldn't get mad at him. He looked embarrassed and as if he was in the verge of tears, so you patted his head and allowed him to lay back in bed. He felt bad enough for what he did, there was no need to punish him.

"Gabriel. Remember your job is incredibly important." You chuckled, taking him in your palms and holding him at the height of your head. "Try not to fail new comers again, alright?"

"Yes Miss!" He saluted adorably, hand lifting up to his forehead to simulate a soldier.

You chuckled and, taking Michael with you, said your goodbyes to your resting cherubs, finally leaving your workplace to go find the giant.

Newgate's house was much different. He lived in a big mansion, thousands of empty rooms waiting to be filled up with new people. Family. That's what he had always wanted, and it had been imprinted into his dream home.

"Ha! Finally an angel."

A rough voice came from the inside of the house, door opening to reveal the healed up form of the former emperor of the sea. Edward Newgate.

"Hello." You smiled, noticing he, unlike Ace, looked pretty well. There was no stress, no anxiousness and no fear. He had accepted his death with open arms and it was showing. In fact, you could smell some freshly prepared food coming from the inside of his house.

When did he have the time for all of this?!

"Uh- I'm here for the tour of the city." You mumbled confusedly as you subtly peeked inside, but you didn't find anything out of the usual. Shaking your head, you came back to your senses and focused on what you had come to do. "Welcome to our realm, Newgate. I am a coordinator and the daughter of the governor. Do you have any questions about what happened?"

"Oh, I'm completely caught up. Don't worry young lady. Care to join us for a bite?"

Us?

"Hey (Y/N)!"

A man you knew very well came into view as Newgate stepped aside. It was Gol D. Roger, the old pirate king.

"Roger! How come you're here?" You asked confusedly, gaze shifting between the two men and trying to connect the dots between their relationship, but you couldn't think of much.

Maybe because they were both pirates...? But there are many pirates! Well, they were important pirates...

"Newgate and I go way back." He laughed as he gestured for you to enter the new home. "I came to visit him as soon as Gabriel told me about his arrival."

"Gabriel?"

"Yes, I sent him to rest whilst I took care of this ugly giant." He joked, sending Newgate an amused look. "Now come join us!" He smiled.
