A Walk

Ace stared at you in shock, body frozen in place. He hadn't been able to control his attraction for you and you were now upset. Cursing under his breath, he decided to act as if nothing happened and forget about it. It was embarrassing enough that you had rejected him, it would be worse if you had to talk about it. Still, he had seen your face. For a couple of seconds your entire body had given up to his affections, warmth and care clearly taking over your senses as you enjoyed his presence, but something had broken you out of it. Maybe this meant you were just as interested in him as he was in you, only that something stopped you from going any further. It was probably too soon.

Sighing, he continued to walk beside you and tried to change the subject.

"Will I ever meet your father?"

"Why?" You said defensively, shooting him a look of distrust. Your father didn't use to connect with the citizens the way you did. Actually, no angel ever did. He, on the other hand, stayed inside your palace and ruled from afar, angels like you and your cherubs informing him of daily activities and issues.

"Cause he's kind of like a king, so I'm guessing he either shows up a lot or close to never." He chuckled, issue from before already forgotten.

"Oh, well, yes. He does sometimes come outside, but not much. Just for events and stuff, so don't really count on it."

"And where do you live?

Turning on a street, you finally arrived to the main avenue. Plants, flowers and ponds mixing in with the cloudy floor as a more earthy look tried to take over the celestial environment. It was beautiful, and you could tell by the look in Ace's face that he thought the same thing.

Chuckling, you grabbed his soft cheeks and turned his head slightly to the right, allowing him to take a look at the head Angel's, or in other words your father's, palace. The place where you, your dad and your cherubs worked and lived.

"You live in there?!"

"Yep. That's where my angels and I work and live. It's open, so if you ever want a tour or anything you can come in as you please." You smiled, letting go of his cheeks and continuing to walk down the streets.

The place where you were taking him was specially useful for newcomers. It was a secluded area where people usually rested their mind by meditating and, once they got the hang of it, by transporting their mind back to earth so they could get information about their loved ones without needing a messenger angel.

"Wait, aren't we going to the palace now?"

"No. There's a place I think will be much more important for you." You smiled, looking up at him only to find an adorable frown that had settled itself on his face.

"How come?"

"If you are consistent, you'll be able to watch upon your loved ones whenever you go in there."

"R-really?"

"Yes, Ace."

"I didn't think that was real... so I can turn into a ghost or something?"

"No." You chuckled. "It's more of a trip. Your soul travels, but you can't take a real form once you go there. You can only watch."

"Oh." He frowned. "Will I be able to see Luffy then?"

You nodded, finally arriving at the small sanctuary. The place in here, unlike any other on the realm, had no clouds whatsoever, only flora and fauna belonging to the earth. Since this place acted as a portal, it enveloped ones soul to prepare it before traveling back down to earth. In fact, right in the middle of the area, there was a dark hole, nothing but void inside it. For humans it was comforting, but an angel feared it.
