14: 裏話 (story behind)

Sunghoon sat next to Sunoo's bed. He was the one who brought Sunoo to the hospital anyway. Thoughts filled his head as he looked at Sunoo.

"Am I doing something good for me...?" Sunghoon thought to himself.

(フラッシュバック|| Flashback: The day Sunoo and Sunghoon met)

"Grandma, I bought flowers for you on my way from school~!" Sunghoon sits next to his grandma and hands the flowers to her.

"I don't want flowers!" The grandma threw the flowers to the floor and faced in the opposite direction.

Sunghoon smiled and picked up the flowers to place on the table. "Grandma... I met someone today... His name is Kim Sunoo."

"I don't care!" screams the grandma, but a few seconds later, she faced Sunghoon. "Kim Sunoo?"

"Y-yes, grandma..."

"His real name is Kim Sunwoo, he's the heir of the Sunwoo group, also known as the number one leading group when it comes to the economy in South Korea!" The grandma explains.

"How do you know-"

"Shush, you want to stop figure skating, don't you? You want to stop being a scholar, do you? You want me to be finally healed, right?"

"Kinda? But not really-"

"Marry him."

Sunghoon shrugged at the message of his grandma. "Hmm?"

"You should marry him. It is said that the son of the Sunwoo group is suffering from a heart condition, so he'll die soon. Then you'll be the heir."

Sunghoon couldn't believe what his grandma just said. He liked Sunoo at first sight, and he didn't know that the sunshine was suffering badly. "No, I don't want to do that," Sunghoon remarked.

"So you want me to die? Fine! Leave my room this instant!" Grandma tucked herself under the blanket after shouting at Sunghoon.

Sunghoon both lost his parents at such a young age due to a car accident. Because of this, he's been living with his wicked grandmother ever since but when she got sick, he started taking care of himself and her, even though she barely likes him. She forced Sunghoon to do Figure Skating and made him do all the house chores. He was getting abused almost every day which made him get used to not cry anymore.

It reminded him of what his grandma said.

"You want me to be finally healed, right? Then marry the son of the Sunwoo group and be the heir."

It was hard for him to decide whether he should continue what he's planning to do with Sunoo for the sake of his grandma, or leave the innocent sunshine alone.

He loved Sunoo deeply, but it was slowly turning into a toxic relationship because of his social level and his grandma's plans.

"Are you serious right now? You fucking lied to my best friend!" Says a voice outside of the room, making Sunghoon leave the room before anyone comes inside.

"Well, I didn't what him to be shocked," Jay explained to Jungwon, who was the one that made Sunghoon leave the room after hearing his screams.

Jay and Jungwon enter the room and meet an unconscious Sunoo in bed.

"Ahhh! Sunoo~!" Jungwon hugged Sunoo tightly. "He really doesn't know that he... only has 10 months, right?"

"He doesn't... Now move because I'm going to check on him." Jay says as he moves closer to Sunoo.

"No! I'm not gonna leave until he's awake." Jungwon cries out loud, sticking his tongue out at Jay.

"You're making my working hours longer that I can't go on our date later..."

"Hmph! Fine~!" Jungwon stands up from hugging Sunoo and sits on the chair next to Sunoo so that Jay could have a check on him. "Where's Ni-ki by the way?"

"He's gonna come soon..." Jay says as he fixes Sunoo's files before checking him up.

"What do you mean by soon? Like later or-"

"Sunoo!" Ni-ki barges into the room and sits next to Sunoo.

"Oh, he came earlier than I thought," Jungwon says as he looks at the two.

"He's okay, right?" Ni-ki asks his Jay hyung.

"Yeah, but I have to confine him for the next few weeks," Jay explains, writing some stuff in his clipboard.

"Is it really that bad? He's going to get confined for weeks! It's gonna be boring without our Sunoo." Jake frowned, standing next to Jungwon as soon as he entered the room.

"We'll see what I can do..." Jay says as he sits next to Jungwon.
