"H-hi...?" Sunoo softly muttered, waking up to find himself on a bed between the four white corners of his hospital room, sighing in disappointment. "We're here again."

Jungwon woke up too, hugging Sunoo tightly after sleeping with him all night long. "Sunoo! I've been waiting for you, I thought I'll never see you again~!"

"Oh, come on. You know I'm okay~!" Sunoo smiled, slowly letting go of Jungwon as he started to feel weak, although he didn't show that.

"Really?" Jungwon asked, eyes glimmering with glee. "Guys, Sunoo's awake now!" He exclaimed as Sunoo ruffled his hair.

Jake slowly woke up, blinking his eyes several times to make his vision clear. "Hi, Sunoo... Oh! Sunoo~!" He immediately ran to Sunoo for a tight hug, happy to see him awake. "You almost got me!"

Sunoo accepted the hug, forgetting the pain the hug was bringing to his body. "You don't have to worry, I'm really fine, I promise."

Ni-ki only looked at Sunoo from afar, avoiding his gaze. "It's nice to see that you're awake." He simply muttered, unable to look at him after knowing his lifespan.

"Hello, Ni-ki?" Sunoo called out for his name, offering him a hug by stretching his arms to the side. "Do you want a hug or not?"

Ni-ki hesitated to hug Sunoo but he was also happy to see him awake. "Fine." He then walked towards Sunoo and leaned his body down, reaching Sunoo for a warm hug. He was supposed to walk back to his seat, but Sunoo closed his eyes and rested his head on his shoulder.

"It feels like forever here," Sunoo whispered to the younger's ear, only enough for him to hear.

Jungwon nudged Sunoo, stopping him from having a moment with Ni-ki. "What's happening there, huh? Is it something we shouldn't know?"

"It's just something you would do with Doctor Jay." Sunoo winked at the two who were holding hands. "Anyways, I'm gonna go get some food from the cafeteria next door~!" Sunoo jumped out of his bed, leaving the room happily.

As soon as he left the room, everyone sighed. Sunoo has been such a kind little boy and knowing that he only has 10 months left to live just hurt their hearts.

"I don't think I'm ready to see my best friend leave us just like that." Jake faced the ceiling, trying to hold his tears from falling.

"You better do something!" Jungwon threw punches at Jay's chest as Jay pulled him closer.

Ni-ki looked at the window, watching gray clouds form. "I'm pretty sure Jay will do his best. But as of now, we have to make his 10 months memorable."

Sunoo hummed happily, entering the room with a huge smile that faded away once he saw everyone with a gloomy expression. "Why are you all crying?"

"We were just happy to see you're okay. You know, these are just tears of joy~!" Jay remarked, smiling as he hugged Jungwon who hid his crying face on his chest.

"I see..." Sunoo was worried about them but he just ignored the situation and went back to his bed. "Okay~!"

-スンキ-

Ni-ki just finished his classes and he's on his way to Sunoo's room. 2 weeks have passed since Sunoo has been confined, but nothing's working out at this point. It seemed like he was getting weaker and weaker through the days.

"Sunoo?" Ni-ki enters Sunoo's room with a box of Sunoo's favorite cake in his hand. "I brought some cake for you." Ni-ki looked around the room to find Sunoo since he wasn't on his bed.

He looked at the coffee table and there he saw a note saying: "Meet me on the rooftop! If you don't come, a pinch on the ear is a must!"

Ni-ki laughed, placing the note inside his pocket after seeing Sunoo's goofy side despite his condition. He then took the cake and closed the door, walking to the rooftop.

"He should be wearing his cardigan at a time like this, it's so cold." He thought to himself as he ran towards Sunoo who was on the bench. "Hey, don't you think it's too cold to talk here? Let's just go down."

Sunoo chuckled as he gestured Ni-ki to sit next to him. "Oh, come on. It's fine~!"

Ni-ki sat next to Sunoo, removing his puffer jacket as he gave it to Sunoo even though he was already wearing a cardigan. "Okay."

"Isn't your birthday in a month?" Sunoo asked Ni-ki, looking straight into his eyes.

"Yes," Ni-ki replied, holding Sunoo's hand which seemed lighter, colder, and paler than before. "Your hand is so cold. I already told you we should just go back to your room."

Sunoo ignored what Ni-ki said, pulling the younger closer to him with all his remaining strength. "I'll promise you that I'll be on your birthday."

"You don't need to do that..." Ni-ki muttered with a soft smile which immediately turned to a small letter o after feeling Sunoo hold unto his sleeves tightly. "Are you... okay?"

"Ten months from now, I won't miss you when I'm gone, I tell you." Sunoo laughed, looking up to the sky as the first snowfall of the year took its landing on them. "Oh, look~! It's snowing!"

Ni-ki looked up, watching snowfall as he processed what Sunoo said. "How did you know about the ten months?"

"I heard you guys." Sunoo smiled, looking at Ni-ki as he stood upon the bench. "Did you know, my mom said that whoever you're with during the first snowfall of the year, that person will be with you forever."

"Hmm?"

"It's been 2 months since we met, and I never liked the way you treated me but you changed." Sunoo wanted to keep standing on the bench but since he was already weak, he couldn't help it anymore so he fell on Ni-ki, tightly holding his arms. "I like you."

Ni-ki held Sunoo tightly, looking at him smile brightly despite falling because of his condition. "You're lying."

"I'll take it back then." Sunoo laughed, sitting up properly while leaning his head on Ni-ki's shoulder. "You probably like someone else. It's okay!"

"Ohh..." Ni-ki wanted to tell something to Sunoo too, but it felt like it wasn't the right timing.

"Just so you know, you were my first kiss and I wasted it on someone who doesn't even like me back."

"But I-"

"It's fine~ Let's go?" Sunoo held Ni-ki's hand and pulled him on their way back to his room.
