You started the next morning similarly. With Tsukishima's answer, you were going to be the new manager, so you had to go to all the practices from now on.
I didn't actually expect him to answer you thought as you got ready for the day. You were ready for him to ignore your question entirely. But it was too late to think about that now. You made a commitment to be the volleyball manager.
"F/N!" Suga called from downstairs, "We're going to be late for practice!" you hurried downstairs, grabbing some fruit on your way out, not having time for an actual breakfast. You weren't yet used to the early schedule.
Damn what I have gotten myself into you thought as you followed Suga out the door.
Time Skip~Morning Practice~
You handed your club application to Kiyoko.
"So what does the manager do, anyway?" you asked, curious as to just how fucked you were.
"Well, besides getting water and towels and such, we keep track of the boy's stats to help the coaches. And it's important to just be here to help when anything is needed," She added, flashing you a small but beautiful smile.
Out of nowhere, Tanaka and Nishinoya ran up, screaming, "SHE SMILED! KIYOKO SMILE FOR US TOO, PLEASE"
"no," she said walking to the supply room to get out the volleyball cart.
"DID YOU HEAR THAT TANAKA, SHE SAID NO TO ME" Noya cried.
"NO, SHE WAS TALKING TO ME." The two went back and forth like this as you slowly backed away from the two energetic second years. Suddenly, you felt yourself run into someone behind you.
"Gomen," you say, turning around, only to be greeted by the team asshat, Tsukishima.
"I know it must be hard to see from all the way down there, chibi, but maybe try to use your brain?" he said with a smirk.
You glared back at him. What was his problem? You'd known him all of 24 hours and he'd already solidified his position as a class A jerk. Your thoughts were interrupted by an excited Hinata dragging Kageyama in your direction.
"L/N! Do you think you can tutor us after practice today? And you, too Tsukishima?" the redhead asked.
"Sure," you said. You weren't looking forward to it, but it seemed wise to get these two to understand the material sooner rather than later, "and I already got Tsukishima to agree to help as well," you added, remembering the conversation from the day before.
"Not so fast," he said, looking at Kageyama, "I want him to ask me."
Kageyama glared back at the tall blonde, mumbling under his breath.
"What was that? " Tsukishima asked, leaning towards the grumpy raven-haired boy.
"TEACH US ENGLISH," he said, loud enough so everyone in the gym looked in their direction.
"That's more like it," Tsukishima said with his signature smirk "I'll give you an hour after practice."
With that, all the boys joined the rest of the team in stretching and warming up and you returned to Kiyoko so she could explain how to take the notes during practice.
~Time-Skip~LunchBreak~
The bell rang, signaling the end of the class period and the beginning of your lunchtime. You brought your own lunch, so you didn't feel like going to the lunchroom, but weren't sure if it was okay to eat in the classroom. The day before you had needed to take care of some administrative tasks and didn't have time to sit and eat your lunch. And today, you didn't want to seem like the weird new loner girl.
