You yawned, stretching out your stiff limbs. It was too early to function properly, but the team had to make the trip to Tokyo for the camp. Luckily, everyone had passed their exams, even if just barely. You were waiting on a few stragglers before you could climb onto the bus. You leaned sleepily on Suga. Tsukki was already there, and you would much rather be talking to him, but he was busy chatting with Yamaguchi.

"I told you to go to bed early, (F/N)," Suga said with a smile.

"I did," you lied, prying your eyelids open with a struggle. In reality, you had been scrolling through tiktoks and lost track of time, but he didn't need to know that. He rolled his eyes, allowing you to lean on him as he continued to talk with Daichi. Tanaka was the last to arrive, with Noya, both looking oddly energetic considering the hour.

"Alright, that's everyone!" Coach Takeda cried, checking off something from a piece of paper he had on his clipboard, "all aboard the Tokyo express!" You climbed onto the bus, eager to find a comfy spot where you could sleep for the whole ride. You and Yachi had agreed to be bus buddies. You felt bad not sitting with Kiyoko, but you were closer friends with the small blonde.

You took a window seat, placing your bag next to you to save the spot for Yachi. However, as Tsukki passed your seat, he roughly moved the bag and sat next to you instead.

"I was saving that for Yachi," you said, yawning through your words.

"Yams wanted to sit with her, so I agreed to trade." Tsukki replied.

"Oh so you didn't want to sit with me?" you pouted. He rolled his eyes.

"Just go to sleep, you look like a mess," he said, ignoring your comment. You scowled, but gave into your sleepiness, leaning against his shoulder.

"Mmm, your shoulder is comfortable," you yawned, closing your eyes and giving way to sleep. You couldn't see, but your comment made him smile. While you slept, he listened to music. You were much too sleepy to notice the stares from the team eyeing your comfortable position with Tsukki, noticing how he didn't seem to mind. He wouldn't usually let anyone get near him besides Yams, so this was quite the development. Suga just smiled knowingly, continuing to talk with Daichi for the remainder of the ride.

Somehow, you managed to stay passed out for the whole drive, despite Hinata throwing up all over Tanaka,  Kageyama and Hinata bickering about everything, and Noya exclaiming excitedly at everything you passed. It seemed like none of them had done much travel, so everything was new and exciting.

The drive was 4 hours, which wasn't too bad considering the long road trips you had taken while living in America. You woke up to Tsukki lightly shaking your shoulder.

"We're here," he whispered so as not to startle you. You blinked your eyes open, taking in your surroundings. The bus was already almost empty, the team having rushed off to see everything. You looked outside and instantly realized that you were not, in fact, in Tokyo, but in one of the suburbs. You sighed, disappointed. You had hoped to be in the middle of the city, despite knowing you wouldn't be. Tsukki got up, offering his hand to help you out of the bus. You smiled, fitting your cold hand in his warm one. You felt properly rested now, and excited for the day.

"Thanks for letting me sleep," you said, grabbing your bag.

"You wouldn't be a very useful manager if you were falling asleep during matches, now would you?" he teased. You rolled your eyes with a laugh.

"Well, I guess that explains why you didn't sleep then, you aren't very helpful regardless," you retorted, sticking out your tongue at the tall blonde. He led you off the bus, dropping your hand as you came into sight of the rest of the team. A team dressed in red tracksuits made their way towards you, and you recognized them as Nekoma. The team had played a practice match against them before you came to the school, so many of the players were already well acquainted.

Daichi greeted a tall boy with a bad case of bedhead, whose name was Kuroo. Hinata bounded over to a bored looking boy who was playing on his phone. You later learned this was their setter, Kenma. Tanaka and a similar looking boy gushed over Kiyoko, and you rolled your eyes at their predictable behavior. You watched as everyone talked and got caught up, feeling slightly out of place. You watched as some of the other teams began to arrive, and made note of the ones you recognized from watching some videos.

There was Fukorodani, with a Top 5 ace, Bokuto. There was Seijoh and their "great king", Oikawa, and Date Tech with their infamous Iron Wall. However, the team you were most interested in seeing was Inarizaki, which had the Miya twins, one of whom was the number one setter in Japan. You recognized the team almost immediately, in their maroon tracksuits. Your eyes scanned the team before they fell on one player. Miya Atsumu. You made your way over there, and as you walked in their direction, your team watched you curiously. You had yet to play Inarizaki, so no one knew anything about their players, besides that they were crazy good.

However, as you made your way across the parking lot, you made eye contact with Atsumu. After a moment, his eyes glinted with recognition.

"(F/N)!" he cried, pushing his way away from his team, and jogging towards you. Osamu, after seeing you, also walked towards you, albeit less excitedly.

"Tsumu! Samu!" you exclaimed as Atsumu picked you up in a big hug, "long time no see." You wrapped your legs around him as he hugged you, only putting you down after you asked.

"I'll say," the boys said.

"I thought you moved to America? Or did you just say that to get away from Tsumu?" Osamu said, elbowing his twin, earning a glare from the blonde brother.

"If anything she would try to get away from you," he replied with a glare.

"I did go to America. I moved back to Japan a couple of months ago, moving in with my Aunt and Uncle in Miyagi," you explained.

"Why didn't you tell us? I thought we were friends," Atsumu pouted. You gave him a light pat on his head.

"We were! But with all your newfound fame, I doubted you'd care to hear from me," you replied, "but it just so happened our volleyball team was invited to this practice camp too!" Atsumu feigned a gasp at your first comment.

"Of course we'd want to hear from you! You were only our best friend, since, like, birth." Atsumu said, obviously offended that you didn't contact him before.

"Or in your case, your only friend," Osamu said in response to Atsumu, earning another sharp glare from the blonde. You laughed. You had missed these two boys.

"We'll have to catch up later, I should get back to my team," you said with a smile.

"Alright, but get ready to watch us crush your team," Atsumu replied confidently. You rolled your eyes, waving goodbye to the duo and making your way back to the team. As you walked back to where your team was gathered, you noticed they were all staring at you, mouths agape. Well, all except for Tsukishima, who just looked pissed.
