You sat next to Hinata, intently trying to explain basic algebra. Despite your daily study sessions during lunch and before and after practice, he and Kageyama were still woefully unprepared for the exams coming up. It was a dreary Saturday afternoon, and you, Yachi, and Yamaguchi had agreed to get in an intense study session before exams. You had tried to rope Tsukishima into it as well, but, unsurprisingly, he had refused, claiming that the two boys were hopeless, which was looking more and more like the truth.

"It's really not that hard. You just have to separate x by performing the same math on both sides," you explained for what felt like the millionth time. Hinata just stared at his work with a glare, obviously not understanding. You proceeded to a different problem, working it out for him, hoping it would help if he saw the process step by step.

Meanwhile, Yachi was helping Kageyama with English vocabulary, and Yamaguchi was doing his own studying. He had tried to help explain math to Hinata, but to no ones surprise, he got nowhere.

"I can't think anymore," Hinata declared, flopping onto your bed. You sighed. He had said this about every thirty minutes, and it always took another twenty to get him to get back to work. Everyone had turned to look at Hinata, wondering what to do next.

"Yachi, Yams, how about we go to the kitchen and get some snacks? Meanwhile Kageyama and Hinata can try to work through some stuff themselves," you suggested, trying to break the pattern of the afternoon. Your two friends agreed, and you headed to the kitchen to find something to bring back up.

Suga was sitting in the living room, watching his favorite volleyball anime again.

"What are you guys doing down here?" He asked, following the group into the kitchen.

"Hinata is having trouble focusing, so we're hoping some food will bring motivation," Yamaguchi explained.

"And I kind of needed a break from Kageyama's intensity," Yachi said with a light laugh.

"That guy is intimidating even when he's being stupid," Yamaguchi added, looking over to Yachi. Yachi seemed surprised that he was talking directly to her, and she flushed a little at the eye contact.

"Y- yeah," she replied quietly. The two friends stood staring at one another for a moment before they both blushed and looked away. You laughed at the little interaction. They had both told you of their mutual crushes, but you had promised not to tell the other, so you just watched in amusement.

"Well, you better get back up there soon. Knowing those two, they're probably wreaking havoc on your room," Suga pointed out, returning to the living room. You let out a sigh. You knew he was right, but you needed a moment away from the frustrations of tutoring, so you figured you'd waste some time in the kitchen.

"Are you ready for you exams, Yachi?" you asked, whilst rummaging through the cupboard to see what you had.

"I suppose, although I haven't studied as much as I normally would, what with the practice camp coming up next weekend," she admitted sheepishly.

"You're going to do great, you're so smart!" Yamaguchi exclaimed, "I, on the other hand, may actually fail English..." he trailed off, clearly worried about his mark. You had helped him a little during breaks, but you were so focused on the dynamic duo that you weren't much help.

"Yams! You should have told me! I'll help you study more!" Yachi replied happily, "you can come over tomorrow and we can work on stuff together. Without the hassle of Kageyama and Hinata, we're sure to get through more material." Yams blushed at the invitation.

"S-sure, I'd appreciate that," he managed to stutter out. Oh, young love.

"What about you, (L/N)?" Yams asked, turning the attention away from himself.
