We finally dock at the island when Clouse announces, "Welcome to Chen's Island. The Tournament of Elements welcomes its brave fighters." He then turns to Garmadon and speaks just to him, "Master Chen will be pleased you've returned, Sensei Garmadon." saying the last part mockingly. Garmadon scowls at Clouse, "The pleasure is all mine, Clouse." "I'm sure it is." Clouse states with his nose in the air before walking away. "Geez what happened between you two," I said as me and the ninja watched the whole exchange. "Yeah, and how are we on an island I've never seen on any map?" Kai asked as we began walking towards the palace from the ferry. Cole then spoke up, "And care to explain how the face of Ninjago's most popular noodle house is secretly assembling an underground fighting tournament?" All of us looked to Garmadon as he began, hoping to give us some answers and clarity of the situation.

"Master Chen used to be a friend. Now he's a traitor. During the Serpentine Wars, Chen turned against his own kind and sided with the treacherous snakes." Lloyd turned to his father, "The battle you and Uncle Wu fought together in? He was an enemy?" Garmadon nodded and continued," He used deception to divide the Elemental Masters. We barely defeated the Serpentine, and in a deal for his surrender, Chen was to never leave this island. Little did we know, he'd begin to build his criminal empire from here." Lloyd spoke up from Garmadon's right, "He may have divided our ancestors but he's not gonna divide us."

Kai then pushed us out of the way so the girl in yellow could pass by. "Ladies first," Kai said in his charming manner as the girl walked by. As he let us go and continue on he said, "Fire will melt her icy heart. Just wait." I rolled my eyes, "She doesn't even know who you are." I said kinda snarky. Kai turned to me with a grin. Man he's got it bad. "She will," he said while looking off to her in the distance. "She will."

We continued through the stone gate doors, where the other Elemental masters were waiting. Who knows what will be beyond these doors. I shook my head. Stay focused (Y/n). "We need to find Zane." I said to the others, "We need to focus and be mindful of our surroundings." The ninja seemed surprised that I said that. "What?" I say to them. Clouse then opens the doors and reveals a giant and beautiful stone palace. Purple carpets lead to the entrance and drummers line each side. Jay, completely in awe, said, "So this is the house noodles built. Ha! Always wanted to go to a red carpet event." he said while walking proudly. Garmadon spoke up, "Chen lives like a king. Here, he's totally self-sufficient. The only way on or off this island is with his permission, which you have to earn." "You never told me about this place. How do you know so much about this island?" Lloyd asks his father. "Before Chen was my enemy, he was my Sensei." Garmadon explains as he lets part of his robe down revealing his shoulder which is branded with the purple snake tattoo that all Chen's thugs have.

We arrived into the palace and we were currently in a big ornate room where all the Elemental Masters sat in a circle. I sat next to Lloyd and Lloyd was by his father. LLoyd turned to his father, "You never told me you had a Sensei." "When I was your age I...sought a darker means of guidance. He taught me to win at all cost, no matter who I hurt," he said defensively. "It wasn't until you saved me that I saw the light," Garmadon said proudly and Lloyd smiled at the sweet comment. Nice smile I think while overhearing the conversation. The moment between Llyod and Garmadon was interrupted by Jay. "Uh, apparently he also never taught you to have a sense of humor. Lighten up, we're in an underground fight club. This is supposed to be fun," he said matter of factly.

One of Chen's henchmen banged a gong, grabbing all eyes in the room. Weird music starts playing and Clouse then announces, "All rise for Master Chen." A throne is then lowered from the ceiling carrying a crazy looking man with red robes, a ratty goatee, and a snake and skeleton headdress. "Welcome to the Tournament of Element," the strange man began. "Now you can all di-"the doors then shut behind us and all of us gasp, but Chen continues. "-rect your attention to me!" he then cackles like a madman. Garmadon whispers to Lloyd, "I forgot to mention he has a pension for theatrics." "No kidding. This guy is nuts." I whisper back at them. Lloyd quietly laughs at that and it makes me smile. Chen then spoke again, "Never before have so many Elemental Fighters been under one roof. I see Master of Fire, Earth, Shadow, Speed, Crystal, even a prophesied Green Savior." he said in a mocking tone before turning to Garmadon. "And a former pupil has returned."
