Unexpected

The letter was still next to me. I had to give it to the post office. I heard a knock on my door. I couldn't go open it, so I just said:

"Come in!" The door squeaked open.

"Noel?" The voice didn't sound like Mia's, it was a guy. It must have been the doctor. I turned and there was... SAMUEL?

"Samuel?" I totally forgot about him since the disaster happened.

"Happy birthday?" I giggled. He's so cute.

"Rather happy death day"

"I'm so sorry. Where's your mom?"

"In the skies. Probably watching this right now, how she always wanted me to have a boyfriend. I don't know why. Probably in memory of dad. Even though he's not dead." He sighed, and I just paused from talking. "That reminds me, I wrote a letter to him. Is it possible for you to give it to the post office? I'll give you the money."

"No problemo."

"That's great." He sat next to me, on the bed, and kissed me. I love him. "Samuel? How did you know I was here?"

"I went to your house, and there was a girl. Then a nurse came and said you had a car crash and took the girl. She didn't take me, though. Then I went to my dad, and he drove me. We didn't know your room number, so we searched through the first and second floor, and on the third floor, we passed a room with your mom in it, and she was probably in a comma, and then we thought you must be close. But you weren't. So then the last thing to check was the kids section, and here you were. We didn't think you still considered as a kid, but we found you. And I'm so happy you're ok." I loved him so much. I couldn't believe I forgot about him. It's crazy. He's the sweetest guy in the world, and extremely hot! AND HE LOVES ME!!! ME, AND (I think) ONLY ME!!!

THE NEXT DAY

I woke up, and Samuel was there, sitting by me.

"Good morning, Noel."

"Good morning. Don't you have school?"

"Ya. I won't go. I'll stay with you." I smiled. He was the best. Who would skip school because their girlfriend is in the hospital? Samuel. And nobody else. I never felt so special before. "You were sleeping for two whole days. What did you dream of?"

"You, you, and more of you." He smiled. I didn't actually know what I dreamt. I just wanted to see his smile.

"I sent your letter. I'll check for a response later."

"You're the best. Thank you so much." We talked a lot, until he finally checked for a response.

Hours later, Samuel came jumping into the room, with a. Letter in his hands. He handed it over.

Dear Noel,
I'm very sorry about your life, and about your mother. But I only have one daughter, who's not called Noel. You must have gotten the wrong address. My daughter is called Mia, and just left to live by her mother, because I'm divorced. I always thought my life sucks, but yours sucks more.
John.
