Over excitement hit my heart. I was so nervous. What if dad didn't even like me? And what if dad wasn't even my dad? I was super happy, but at the same time very scared. I never had a dad. I mean, I never saw my dad. I wanted to leave the hospital and put on formal clothes, and buy a present. I needed money too. I was literally almost poor. I needed more than I had. I remembered my thought from before "I'm not poor" and crossed that off my list of good things. And yes, I wrote a list. I wanted to know how to play the game of life. I wanted to be the master at it.

Later, Mia came in to the room, and me and Samuel showed her the letter. I was so happy/scared/nervous/idk what else I felt/something. I felt many things... Kinda. But Mia freaked out. She literally jumped up and down, danced a small dance, screamed "YIPEE!!" , grinned for sometime that felt like forever, and she looked so happy, you could think she just became the ruler of the world. And I don't know why she's more happy than me, and has seen dad before, and I haven't. Life is weir- ok Noel. You have Samuel, life is not weird. Sorry, just had to make that clear... Anyways... Dad's coming! Yay?

THE NEXT DAY

I was confused. Dad said he was on his way yesterday, and didn't come yet. But why? Was he really on his way? This was so confusing. I decided to write back in case he didn't actually come at all. So I did:

Dear Dad,
This sounds a little rude, but I don't mean it the rude way. If you think this letter is rude, please forgive me, because I apologize. Anyways... um.. I wanted to um... ask you if you are coming? because i need you. Please.
Love,
Noel.

I gave it to Samuel, for him to give it to the post office.

LATER THAT DAY

As you could guess, we were waiting for a response, but not like usual, a doctor came in.

"Noel brown, congratulations. You are ready to leave the hospital. But before you pack your things, we need to make some final check-ups to see if you're ok, and get rid of your cast." He said with a smile, that I was grinning too. I looked over at Samuel, and he was staring at me with a smile.

"Thank You so much, doctor!" I said, but he just left. Oh, well. Guess he doesn't know how to play life...

Samuel went to check for a response, and as you could guess, we got one.

Dear Noel,
This letter is rude too, so don't you worry. But I was on my way to the address that I use to send you letters back, but no one was there. I waited, and waited, but nobody came. So I went back.
Love,
Dad. ❤️

I felt so dumb. OF COURSE HE DIDN'T COME!!! HE DIDN'T KNOW I WAS AT THE HOSPITAL BECAUSE FOR THE LETTERS I USED THE ADDRESS OF MY ACTUAL HOUSE!!!

Dear Dad,
I'm sorry, I feel dumb now. For the letters I used my home address. But I'm in the hospital. I'm so sorry. But the doctor said I'm leaving. So when I'm out, I'll send you a letter, and you will know I'll be there when you come.
Love,
Noel. ❤️

For some reason we started drawing hearts at the ends of our letters, but I guess that's normal? Oh well. The good is keeping up.
