"Chuck, what's going on?" Thomas questions
"Girls are awesome." The kid starts laughing as he points towards the tower where I now spot pans and stuff flying everywhere
"Leave me alone!" A girl screams
"Hey, throw one more of things- Ow!" Gally says as I jog closer to the group. Newt takes a look at me with a goofy grin on his face.
"Go away!" the girl screams, Newt begins to chuckle as he places the wood he was holding over my head so that I wouldn't get hurt.
"I don't think she likes us very much." Newt laughs
"We just wanna talk." Someone screams
"Hey, it's Thomas! It's Thomas!" Thomas screams, and for a second everything stops flying I peek out from under the piece of wood covering me, and I see her head peek over the tower she was sitting in
"I'm gonna come up, okay?" Thomas says the girl nods a little before moving back
"Okay-"Gally says going to move up. I smack him across the chest to stop him.
"just him" I hiss hoping that Thomas would be able to make her come down. Once Thomas's gone all the way up Newt gives me a look as if to tell me to follow him, I sigh knowing I'm more than likely in trouble once we reach somewhere no one can hear us Newt brings his face closer to mine.
"You got something you need to tell me, Ash?" Newt whispers against my ear
"What?" I say breathlessly
"What happened to not going in the maze?" he says, moving his head back so he could make his best impression of a disappointed Dad.
"This is our best chance" I whisper under my breath still looking around to see if anyone could hear us.
"Alright," he says, giving me a nod, I open my mouth in shock.
"what you're not going to scowl me?" I ask he smirks before brushing his hand against my waist lightly
"You're not less then me anymore Ash, you're my equal, and if you're doing what you think is best then all I can do is support you through this" he whispers I go to reply back, but Chuck rushes breathlessly at me.
"Ash come," he says breathing heavily I look at Newt who just shrugs before I run after Chuck. I look up the tower and see Thomas climbing down he looks at me with guilt and walks past all the people questioning him till he reaches me.
"She wants to talk to you," Thomas says
"Why?" I hiss, it wasn't that I didn't want to talk to her or make a friend, but I just need to get on with more important things than dealing with some girls mental breakdown. We're so close to the end, and to getting out of here, I don't have time for one girl.
