Almost is Never Enough

I woke up today with a heavy heart. I get out of Dad's bed and sigh. Today, I'm going back home to New Orleans. I mean, I'm excited but at the same time, I'm not. I decided to make Sammy a goodbye present.

I go to my room and use an expansion spell on a few of my bags so that I can fit everything in them. I made sure all of my boxes and bags were in one and heading to my magic room and doing the same thing. I repeated the process in my study room and training room. I head into the kitchen to get a blood bag and see Sam sitting at the table.

"Hey Sammy." I say sitting down next to him and laying my head on his shoulder.

" Hey kiddo, you ready for today?" He asks.

I nod my head, "a little," I say.

"Okay, well let's get going." He says and we both get up and start put our bags in the car. I decided to help Sam out and spell a few of his bags to make them larger on the inside.

1 hour later...

We pull up to the Mikaelsons house to see them all standing outside. I look at Sam before we get out of the car. The second I step out, I'm pulled into a hug by Hope.

"I'm so glad your here. I missed you." She says.

"I missed you too, sis." I respond pulling away. I'm then pulled into a hug by each of the Mikaelsons. Hayley goes to hug me last and as she hugs me, I decided to mess with them a little bit.

"All the hugs are great, guys. Really, they are. But, um," I pull away from Hayley, "I have to say goodbye." I finish. It took everything in my not to bust out laughing, but I keep a sad look on my face. All of their faces fell and it was the funniest thing ever.

"W-what?" Hayley says.

"Please, just let me say bye." I say then walk over towards Sammy. He pulls me close to him and hugs me tight, kissing the top of my head.

"I'm gonna miss you kiddo." He says into my hair.

"I'll miss you too, Uncle Sammy. Its been one hell of a ride." I say and he laughs.

"Thank you, for everything Sam. Really." I speak again.

"Hey, you're family. We dont turn our back on family." He says.

"I have something for you," I take Dean's necklace out of my pocket, " I spelled it. I wrote the spell myself. I know you miss, Dad. So now, you can talk to him whenever. Like when you call out to Cas and he's there, you can do the same with Dad. As long as you're wearing the necklace and you want to see him, or hug him, you can. And you wont look crazy because hell actually be here so other people can see him too." I say, giving him the necklace. He hugs me again, thanking me.

"Let's get your bags.", he says. We walk to the trunk and get my bags out.

"Have Cas bring me the car when you settle down." I say, giving him one last hug.

"Of course, kiddo. Take care of yourself okay?" He says. I nod, grabbing my bags from him and walking towards my family.

"Bye Sam." I say about to get in the car with Hope and everyone else.

"Bye." He gets in the Impala and drives off. I see Dad appear in the passenger's seat and I smile softly.

I get in the car with my family and we head home to New Orleans
