Because of the world they lived in, things moved relatively fast for the group and their new found friends, well at least a few of them were friends. There wasn't really much time to dwell on the issues of the past, sure there was the summer where they all stayed in the mansion the six gods inhabited, deeming it safe enough, but that didn't last long.

The summer was uncomfortable, to say the least, with the house now packed full and having visitors from the Order often there were hardly moments of peace, obviously, it was the Marauders, chaos just follows them around. The tension was far from disappearing, Phoenix and Zared were still on the outs with the middle two siblings, Adonis couldn't even look in Sirius's direction, James was mad that Sirius and Remus didn't tell him, and Hedy was still as unbothered as ever. So, for the rest, just being in the same room with any was not on their bucket list, and so they did their best to avoid anytime two of them were within range of each other. Harry was excited when Dumbledore took him away from all that and to the Weasley's, it was more than appreciated.

The awkwardness continued when Remus finally built up his Gryffindor courage to talk to Hedy.

"Hedy-"

"I don't feel." Remus was confused, what did that have to do with anything?

"I know, that's not-"

"That means I can't be angry with you or sad or anything." Remus just nodded, he knew this, but that wasn't why he was trying to talk to her, he just wanted to apologize because seeing her again just brought up all the feelings he thought left when she did. "I also can't forgive you, so just don't apologize. It's useless and will only disappoint you." Remus just looked down in defeat, he didn't realize that her having no feeling meant she actually felt absolutely nothing. In all honesty, her actions at school made so much more sense now that he knew it was because she was basically numb with nothingness.

Sirius decided to join his best mate on the train to face the tension as he approached Adonis, who was a little more willing to listen, because he felt just as guilty about what happened to Hedy as the other two did. Plus Sirius had a plan, he thought that if he could get close enough he could reach out to Adonis and then he would be able to feel how sorry Sirius was and as a bonus how much Sirius still cared about him. He decided to act on his plan when he walked into the kitchen and saw Adonis sitting alone at the table.

"Adonis..." Sirius walked towards him, but at the sound of his voice Adonis dropped his head onto the table, silently wondering why the universe wasn't on his side. His head shot up when he felt a hand grab onto his arm, he tried to flinch away but Sirius kept his grip firm.

"Please, I need you to feel what I feel. I need you to feel how sorry I am. I need you to feel how..." Adonis looked up at him, he wasn't like Hedy; he couldn't stop feeling because that's who he is, so he was already feeling Sirius's emotions as they flowed through him.

"How much you love me..." Adonis took his arm back and looked away, he wanted to so badly give into Sirius but what if it ended as badly as last time? What if it ended worse? Sirius sat down next to him and leaned forward so that his forehead was leaning against the side of Adonis's.

"Doni...I know who you truly are now, this time won't be like the last." Adonis turned to look at him in the eyes, Sirius could see the skepticism on his face, "I swear to you." Adonis leaned back forward so their foreheads were once again resting against each other.

"Okay." Adonis barely spoke, it was almost less than a whisper but Sirius heard him. Sirius could feel the smile grow across his face, honestly he had never felt this happy before, and he never wanted it to end. But before the two could lean into each other and kiss or even embrace a voice cut through their ears.
