She won't rely
on him to save her
be the knight and shining armor
he's aspired to be
for someone like her
She won't complain
to hurt his heart
and bring worry
to his mind
because it's her anxiety to bear
She won't ask for much
but his honesty
and genuine care
to be there
when she's desperately needing it
As she knows
how much baggage she carries
and what only she can deal with
yet she knows as well what his love can do
to help her mending heart through.
