[BOBBY’S POV]
While planning for the great escape, I could not help but to notice that something is up on Katie’s sleeves. The way she was speaking less in the plan while Kris and I were contributing most of it. Sometimes, from the corner of my eyes and of course secretly, I would see Katie taking a peek at me, biting her lips at the same time.
What took like ten minutes for us to finish, Kris and I looked at each other. We nodded before the both of us ran towards his van and motioned the driver to leave the YG entertainment building as soon as possible. Kris and I laughed hysterically and high-fived each other. From the tinted window, Katie was furious at our actions. She even pointed a double middle finger at the van. How un-classy of her.
“Glad that our items and passports are at Chief Choi’s office,” Kris said. I agreed with him, “And thank god he’s agreeing to our plans,”
“So, where do you want to go?” I thought for a while. To go back or home? Go for a short trip? Go to New York and meet Ashlee? Wait, why am I still thinking about Ashlee? “Do you want to go to New York? I can follow you if you want to in the meantime. I mean, I’ve always wanted to visit there,” Kris added.
New York sounds like a good idea but the thought of me coincidently seeing Ashlee makes me think twice about going to New York. “Bro, are you okay? You seem like you have a lot of thoughts in your mind,”
“Oh sorry. I think New York is great but…” I was hesitant to continue. “But?” He asked. Then, I began telling him what happened. Everything, from the day where Ashlee left Korea to me being in the plane with crazy Katie.
Once the van stopped, Kris and I thanked the driver for driving us before we proceeded to Chief Choi’s office. He passed our luggages and we thanked him for his help in our plan too. Kris went to purchase for flight ticket to New York. We had an hour to spare before checking in. Kris and I decided to grab some food. In the end, we settled for coffee at Starbucks.
“I guess it’s too late for you to back off from going to New York buddy. I mean it’s a great idea to go there because you can settle your relationship problems,” Kris suggested. “I mean, as much as you try to even forget about her, it won’t work because she is going to linger in your mind for a very long time. That is the time where you will regret not patching up things with her,”
He has a good point. I nodded in agreement, while sipping my coffee. “Yeah, what you said is right Kris,” He reached out and patted me on the back and telling me that things will be okay once we are there.
All this talk about my relationship with Ashlee got me thinking – what happened between Katie and him? “So, what is between you and Katie?” I asked. “Well, we met while clubbing in one of the nightclubs in Myeongdong. Our relationship started off perfectly but when it came to the sixth month, things started to change especially when one of her best friends left for New York,”
Wait, is he talking about Ashlee? “Kris, I’m Katie’s best friend’s boyfriend, Ashlee. Ashlee’s her best friend, the one who left for New York,” I reminded him. How can he not know about Ashlee when his girl friend and her are practically best friends?
