"You never fail to impress me, Miss Ashlee," My lecturer, Mrs Kim complimented me as she looked through my sketches. "At this rate, I can promise you that the designers attending New York fashion week will hire you right that instant,"

I smiled widely. I've never heard a compliment as high as Mrs Kim's. "Thank you Mrs Kim. However, I think that I need to work hard to produce even more greater designs,"

"You need to take a rest Miss Ashlee. Trust me, at this rate, you're one of the most talented designers in the class," She replied.

"Thank you so much Miss Kim," I hugged her tightly. She returned the hug. "No problem Miss Ashlee. I know you can do it. Don't get those problems get in your way okay? Prove to Mr Yang that you can do it!" She advised.

Ever since I stepped into the university, I shared my problems with Mrs Kim. Every single thing, I told her. She was there whenever I need someone to talk to. Sometimes, a girl needs to have a 'girl talk' with a women. I couldn't depend on Mark because you know, guys and girls have different opinions. We'll end up fighting instead.

I packed my stuff, waved Mrs Kim goodbye before leaving the design studio. When I was walking along the hallway, I felt someone tugging on the strap of my Celine bag. Of course, Mark bought that bag a few months ago.

"Ah, you think you're the best designer in the class? You're such a loser newbie," She said.

I turned to look at who she was. A classmate of mine - Sammy who's one of the prettiest, richest girls in the class. I bowed, not knowing what that was for but at least I bowed right? "I'm sorry?" I said.

"I overheard the conversation that you had with Mrs Kim. Let me tell you straight in the face. All of the compliments that she gave to you is because she pitied you. That's all,"

I was taken aback at what she said. Pretty and rich, but I've never even seen her being complimented by Mrs Kim. She gets scolded most of the time for the inappropriate work she produced. I'm not looking down, but at this point of time, she messed with the wrong person.

"Look, if she wants to compliment me, let her do it. I don't care whether it's sincere or not, at least I'm recognized for my good designs. What about you? I heard nothing good about your designs. Actually, none," I replied angrily.

I clenched both of my fists, preventing myself to not go even more further than what I said.

"You bitch-"

Before she could slap me across the face, someone pulled me away from her sight. I landed on the person's chest instead. "You came here to get your degree not to pick up fight with someone new. It's not high school or even college for that matter. Fuck off,"

Sammy made some noises, showing that she was mad. I assume that she left right that instant. "Is she gone?" I asked.

"Yeah, she is," He replied. From that voice of his, I already knew who that person was. I pushed myself away from him a little.

"Thank you Chris," I thanked him. He smiled at me. "No problem, anything for you Ashlee," I gulped. I felt the awkward atmosphere surrounding the both us as we started walking along the corridor, leaving the university.

"So, you and Mark together?" He asked. "Uh, yeah," I reluctantly replied. Why does the question he asked make me think twice of answering it? How weird of me.

"Anyway, are we visiting the hospital this coming weekend? I would love to visit the kids. I kind of miss them already!" I changed the topic. "That fast huh, Ashlee?" He laughed a little. "Yes, I'm going there and you're free to tag along,"
