(H) well we are old enough to understand now but how did mom pass away?
(K) well *sits on couch* your mother was pregnant with hanako at the time when me and haruhi’s father got the news that your mother had cancer things were going fine but they got worse half way through the pregnancy the doctor told us we might not be able to save your mother or hanako because her treatment isn't working so she had a rough time worse than things with her first pregnancy
(H) so if it got worse i wouldn’t have been in this world
(K) yes, but your mother was in her seven months of pregnancy then contractions came early so hanako was born five weeks before her due date, doctors were trying their best to get haruhi's treatment to work but when you were only one and lilah was three is when your mother passed away
(H) so i never really knew mom when i was a baby
(K) no you were at the start of saying mama and dada but i was heartbroken when we couldn’t save your mom i was living alone in our old home with both of you and tamiki stayed over on different days to help keep an eye on you and help out since i was taking care of an infant and toddler at the same time so he came by and looked after lilah with his kids while i helped hanako before my father got back from a work trip and opened his home to us that’s why we have always lived at your grandpa's house we would have lived with your grandpa ranka but he stopped by to help often before leaving on trips around the world
(L) so this was grandpa yoshio’s house
(K) yes this is grandpa’s house your other grandpa lived in an apartment where your mom used to live in her highschool years but i was worried i wouldn’t make it through everything right after your mom passed away i knew how to take care of both of you but i never knew if i could do it alone until everyone came and helped out that’s why you guys are all so close to tamiki, hikaru, kaoru, aari, mori and honey’s kids because me and your mother went through high school with them and they all started families that’s how jer likes you hanako and igarashi and rin like you lilah
(H) even if jer is already my boyfriend so if me and him were married i’d be hanako suo
(K) your right and if lilah chose igarashi or rin if one of them married her she would be hanako hitachiin
(L) can we look at old photos of mom
(K) yes we can they are in my closet come with me
(L) *walks with kyoya and hanako*
