TW: MENTIONS OF BLOOD, LOTS OF VIOLENCE, AND SUGGESTIONS OF ASSAULT.

The saying, "Live each day like it's your last", never really got your attention. In your mind, it was some cheesy 2016 tumblr caption that only those who tried so desperately to 'fit in' used. You never thought anything of said quote, nor did you even attempt to look into the meaning of it. You thought it meant 'have fun since you might die tomorrow' or some bullshit like that.
So, you never took it's advice. You kept going on, living each day as usual. The constant thoughts of "I'll always have tomorrow."
But ever since that day....
That quote had bloomed a whole new meaning.
~~~
The halls felt...heavy. No, it was the air. Or maybe just you yourself. You never knew anymore. The feeling of being out of place was a leach that continued to attach itself at your brain, yet you never paid it any mind. Blamed it mostly on the fact that it was your last year in highschool and the stress factor was only getting worse.
In a half-assed attempt to shake off the heavy feeling, you rolled your shoulders back and closed your eyes as your muscles tensed and soon relaxed. That was, until a certain force smacked into your back, causing you to stumble forward a bit. Your eyes snapped open as you whipped your head around.
"What the f-" You started.
"I-I'm sorry! I totally didn't mean to! My dumbass friend pushed me a bit too hard and you just so happened to be in the way and-" The boy stuttered. His hair was a gorgeous silver color and he was insanely tall.
"It's fine, don't worry about it." You tried to put on your best smile of genuine forgiveness. Your voice, however, betrayed you.
"You sure? You sound a little upset..."
"Oh, no, I'm just tired. Seriously, it's okay." You smiled even wider now at the boy, who's shoulders seemed to relax just a bit at your words. In truth, you were still fuming on the inside. But, the poor boy seemed to be embarassed enough so you decided to just bite your tongue.
An approaching figure from behind the boy made you look over his shoulder in curiosity. Wait...I've seen these guys before.
"Lev, what did you do this time?" A deep voice came from the new presence, his raven black hair sticking in all directions while a few tufts settled over his right eye. His golden eyes flickered in your direction for a moment before settling back on the tall boy next to him.
"Nothing! I swear! Right? Tell him, Kenma!" The silver haired boy, who was referred to as 'Lev' desperately looked in the direction of another boy, leaning against a wall with a Switch in his hands looking completely uninterested in what was going on.
"Shut up, Lev." His voice was soft and he never looked up from the game.
"But it wasn't my fault!" Lev whined.
"he's right. I shoved him because he was being a dumbass and I didn't notice the girl standing behind him. It's my bad. Sorry, both of you." A shorter male peeked out from behind Lev and motioned towards you as he talked.
"You're fine! Seriously, it's not that big a deal..." That smile never left your face. It really had become instinct at that point to smile in situations like this.
Now that I look at them...they're all wearing matching sports jackets. Volleyball club...huh.
"Well, I sincerely apologize for my friends' outbursts and stupidity." The raven haired boy, was the one called Tetsurou Kuroo. He outstretched a hand to you, an apologetic look on his features. You stared into his eyes for a moment before putting on a smile and looking down.
