I'm getting into a very bad habit of writing very long chapters, I'm not sorry- :D

~~~
You had agreed. Agreed to run away with Tetsurou Kuroo on a whim based purely on circumstance. You'd known him only a week, and yet there you were, a backpack laid open on your bed as you desperately and quickly tried to shove clothes, toiletries, and other necessities into the bag.  The shakiness of your hands wasn't helping the matter, either.
You stopped for a moment, your hand still remaining inside the bag clutching a shirt you tried to shove in there. You heaved out a sigh and hung your head.
"What am I doing..." Muttering to yourself, you blinked away the liquid that gathered in your eyes.
Kuroo had recommended you skip school the next day to pack and gather all necessary items like clothes and money before he'd stop by and pick you up. But, you interjected his idea, saying you needed to do this in the most inconspicuous way. Instead, you had settled for attending school as usual, and leaving late at night when there wouldn't be a whole lot of activity.
Realizing you had lost yourself in thought a bit, you resumed packing, stuffing a final article of clothing into the bag before zipping it up and propping it against your headboard.
This was really happening. You were really doing this, with KUROO of all people, somebody you've only known for a week. And yet, you couldn't imagine yourself doing this with anyone other than him.
Maybe it was the drastic events that had led to it, but you found yourself feeling almost a sort of dependency on Kuroo. Like when he wasn't around, you would get nervous, fidgety. A constant feeling of unease. But the second you were back in his presence, you felt safe, secure. He was a security blanket for you, so perhaps that's why you agreed so easily to do this.
As you lost yourself once again in your own head, you were quickly snapped out of it by the sound of your phone going off.
Tetsurou Kuroo, 2:55 AM:
I'm here. Let's do this.
You took in the sight of your bedroom one last time before slinging your bag over your shoulder and quietly making your way out of the house. Luckily, your parents had worked late shifts, so they were too exhausted to wake from small noises.
You felt a bit guilty, leaving them behind. But you knew it was best if you didn't say anything to them, for their protection as well as yours.
As you opened the front door, you saw the outline of Kuroo's vehicle, black and blending in almost too well to the darkness, only his dim headlights visible. Your heart sped up a bit as you approached, the anxiety of the situation finally taking hold of you. You knew you had to do this, there was no other choice...right?
Your hand hovered over the handle, shaking ever so slightly as you contemplated one last time, before finally gripping the handle and opening the door, revealing a hunched over Kuroo. His chest was falling and rising with rapid pace, not super dramatically, but enought to where you could tell he was nervous. Of course he was, you were running away from everything, leaving behind everything.
He was panicking slightly on the inside when you didn't respond to his text however, but his nerves eased a bit when he saw you walk out of the house and open the door, shoving your bag in the back seat before sitting in the passenger. His mind had immediately assumed the worst, that you had changed your mind, or maybe you had gotten caught already. It gave him anxiety he'd never really felt before. Not necessarily because it was you, but because he'd have to deal with everything alone, and he didn't want to do that.
