I need to sleep. Enjoy part two
Rin pov
Rin woke up to the sound of a door being slammed. He jolted out of bed and turned around to see Yukio entering the dorm.
"Good morning Rin." Yukio said, surprised to see Rin awake.
"Mornin' Yukio." Rin replied, yawning. The truth was that he had hardly slept at all the night prior. He got up and stretched, grabbing his uniform, but then remember what happened last night.
I can't let Yukio see. What will I do? Rin froze up and started to panic. Yukio noticed this and thought it was strange.
"You okay Rin?" he asked. Rin turned around, a fake smile plastered to his face.
"I'm fine, don't worry." he said. In truth, Rin was not okay at all. But he was too worried to even think of telling his twin the truth. Yukio gave Rin one last look and turned away.
"If you say so. I'll be in the shower if you need anything." With that, Yukio walked to the bathroom door and opened it. Rin started to panic even more. Yukio will see. What will he think then? He will ask questions, and questions are bad. Rin's breathing started to quicken as Yukio walked out of the bathroom.
"Rin. What happened to the mirror?" Yukio asked with a stern tone. Rin tried to hide the fact that he felt like he was going to pass out as he responded to Yukio.
"O-oh. I slipped and hit the mirror accidentally when I was in there. Sorry." Rin lied, trying to ignore the fact that he was trembling.
"Okay, just be more carful next time." Yukio grumbled. Rin let out a breath, thankful he came up with a believable lie. He took the chance when Yukio was in the bathroom to put his uniform on.
After finishing getting ready, Rin skipped breakfast but stopped to say hello and pet Kuro on the head. He then used his key and made his way to cram school early.
When he arrived, Rin stood outside the door contemplating whether or not to actually go in. Deciding it would be better if he just face the class, Rin opened the door while sucking in a breath.
When he opened the door, instead of the faces of his peers, he was faced with an empty classroom.
I guess I did get here really early. Run shrugged and took a seat, deciding to go sit in the back where people would be less likely to bother him. He pulled up his hood and set his head down on the desk as he started to wait for his so called friends to enter the room. To his surprise though, he saw Kuro crawl out from his bag. Kuro must've went in my bag right before I left. He thought as the cat demon crawled into Rin's hood, resting on his shoulders.
Rin, are you okay, you seem sad. Kuro snuggled closer to Rin, who patted him on the head.
"Don't worry. I'm okay, its just a bit hard." Rin spoke out loud, even though he didn't have to, he just wanted to. Kuro was about to respond, but was cut off from the class starting to fill up.
Everyone was laughing and talking loudly but the class seemed to fall silent when they noticed Rin sitting in the back of the class. The sudden silence startled Rin and the pit of anxiety in his stomach began to rise. He hated that they were all staring at him. He wanted them all just to go away. Rin's finger nails dug into his arms through his sweatshirt which he had put on over his uniform.
He couldn't stand it and luckily Yukio walked in right then before anyone had the chance to say anything bad about Rin.
Yukio seemed to be confused as to why no one was sitting in there seats except for Rin, who was staring intensely at his desk.
"Alright, everyone to their seats, and Rin, speak to me after class." Yukio walked up to the teachers desk and sat down, looking at Rin. This made Rin even more anxious. Why does he want to talk to me? I didn't even do anything.'
A few people snickered as they went to their seats, which only made Rin feel even worse.
As class went on, nothing much happened other than a few glares here and there to Rin's relief. He was trying his best to stay awake and not fall asleep. He knew that it would make it even worse if people started to make fun of him for falling asleep in class.
Rin also made an effort to actually try to focus, but he just couldn't no matter how hard he tried. It was just hard for him to learn sitting in a classroom.
Kuro slid off his shoulders and nudged Rin's hand, which hadn't moved in the last ten minutes even though he was supposed to be taking notes on a demon's anatomy.
Are you sure you're alright? You seem more tired than usual. Kuro said to Rin who just gave a gentle smile and nodded.
I'm fine, I just didn't sleep very well last night. Kuro looked at him, not believing a word he said, but decided to drop it.
"Rin! Pay attention." Yukio's voice broke the calm atmosphere between Rin and Kuro. All of the eyes were back on Rin, who shrunk in his seat.
"Sorry Yukio." Rin said in a small voice. He felt uncomfortable and even more down after being put on the spot like that. Kuro noticed this and hissed at the class and snuggled back up to Rin, who put his arms around the small demon.
The class was taken aback at Kuro's actions, who had always been so nice to everyone now seemed to hate them. Kuro had figured out that Rin's classmates was at least one of the reason he was action differently.
"Moving on, does anyone know the answer to question three?" Yukio went back to teaching, but Rin ignored him, not wanting to be there anymore.
The rest of class went about the same, everyone acting as if he didn't exist, which was okay with Rin, because that meant they weren't making fun of him or being scared of him. Rin eventually drifted to sleep, which Yukio and his classmates seemed to ignore or not notice.
