I was slightly behind Mihno when we were running out of the glade. I didnt realise how fast I was because I was soon jogging beside him and not getting out of breath. I honestly could have gone faster and only be a little bit more out of breath.
Running through the maze was terrifying. The vines climbed the walls almost looking for an escape. We ran past the place I had woken up and you could see my dried blood on the ground. All the feelings and memories flashed back to me. Tears came to my eyes as the memories flashed though my eyes. Though it was only a few weeks ago it felt like centuries.
We stopped for lunch in a little dead end road. My lunch was a ham sandwich with an apple and a bottle of water. I was quiet for the whole of lunch. I didnt want to talk to Mihno. I just wanted to run. I must have forgotten how much I loved running because its like a drug. The way your distracted from everything going on around you. Its a freeing feeling. One almost impossible to get in the Glade. Its an escape.
"Taylor I am sorry for letting that secret out last night" Mihno was finishing his sandwich while talking. "That doesn't cut it Mihno" I was eating my apple but I refused to look up at him again. "Just know that I'm sorry I don't know why that came out" Mihno sounded sorry and apologetic "Mihno I would love to forgive you but its not that easy. I asked you to not tell anyone and you let it out to Newt" I was almost finished my lunch at this point. "I know and I would be as angry if you did that and I am completely in the wrong. Do you think you can forgive me" I looked up and nodded "but screw up again and I am going to kick your ass" He laughed and we packed up or lunches and started running once more.
