Ashton's POV

With every passing second, I was getting more and more impatient to find Arinya. Even though we aren't actually tied together with some sort of title that justifies our relationship, well keeping the boss-employee one aside for this matter, but still I am being worried for her as if a part of me is lost. Perhaps, it's just too complicated to summon into words but it's totally exasperating to know that she's is in some actual trouble. I am just not able to cease my stupid brain to stop flashing the worst case scenarios she might be dealing with.

We came out of that stinky shit-hole and looked around for some sign that could lead us to Arinya and whoever the fucker is. He bloody dared challenge me...so be it, now I'll catch that filth-of-a-human and show him his place. That idiot didn't know that he wasn't writing "SHE IS MINE." on the piece of paper when he decided to romanticize the moment, instead he dug his grave with his own dirty hands.

There was no one around so we decided to get back to the office and think what should we do next. While Riyan drove us back to the office building, I calculated the entire series of events thoroughly to analyse if we were missing any major clue.

"Any lead?" Riyan asked while keeping his eyes fixed on the road.

"Not as such but I am not able to connect with one thing." I said looking at him.

"Mm-hmm what's that?" He asked and Aiden adjusted himself a little in the back seat to focus on the conversation.

"How did that bastard escape from the location just in time? From my understanding, this letter is conforming that he definitely knew we were reaching up there to rescue Arinya so who could it be who've had told him about our plan." I explained.

"It was only three of us in your cabin while we discussed about it." Aiden spoke and Riyan tapped on the steering wheel while contemplating on it.

"Was someone eavesdropping on us while we were discussing about it?" Riyan asked.

"My cabin's soundproof so that can't happen." I replied.

"Maybe that person overheard us while we were walking towards the parking lot." Aiden made a point.

"That could be possible but I can't think of anyone from my office who'd do this. I mean who'd be benefited after hurting Arinya." I rubbed my stubble with my hands while examining the situation.

In another 2 minutes, Riyan pulled up in front of my office building. He handed over the keys to my driver and we all started to walk inside. Riyan's phone went off while I was talking to him and Aiden.

"Gotta pick this one, you go ahead. I'll see you in your cabin." Riyan said.

"Sure." I replied.

Aiden and I left for my cabin. Just as we entered and got seated, I heard Riyan yelling my name.

"Ash.." He entered hastily in my cabin.

"What happened to you?" I asked.

"I might know where Arinya is." He announced and I stood up instantly.

"How? and where?" I asked impatiently.

"When I turned around to walk back inside the office building after answering my phone call, one of your employee bumped into me on the staircase. Her phone slipped out of her hold and it dropped on the floor and descended 4-5 steps down the stairs. She panicked when she recognised me and started to apologize immediately but being the gentleman that I am.."
He started to explain but Riyan being Riyan, he can never do without including humor in his explanation, he chuckled and lifted his hands up in the air while saying the last sentence.
