Chapter-39

Ashton's POV

Finally after almost two days, my heart felt at peace having Arinya by my side. When she learnt about merely a chunk of our drastic amount of planning and plotting that we somehow successfully carried on behind her back, she was incredibly shocked. Not her fault, this kidnapping thing was actually on the bit extreme side but this is going to be one of her most memorable birthday memories.

After our secret-proposal-discussion meeting that held two days back, Aiden called me to meet me at my parent's mansion. When I got there he explained the whole mysterious kidnapping plan that Riyan, Aaron and him amicably laid out.

Thankfully, Miss Grace's "oh, it's my best friend's birthday in two days!" reminder bell rang in time. She informed it to Miss Rose and eventually the important occasion information got floated to me.

I connected the loose ends and made it a full proof plan which all of them unanimously agreed to. I promptly decided that there couldn't be a better day to propose Arinya than her own birthday. I stayed at my parent's mansion that day to accord Arinya to notice that something unusual is happening. Also, the whole suspense drama going on in Arinya's mind gave me enough time for all the preparations without her getting even a single percent intrigued about our real intentions.

However, the entire kidnapping sequence had nothing to do with me. It was all Riyan and Aaron's department alongside Aiden's assistance. They laid out the whole plan and executed it. They kept her at John's place for the day because she hadn't seen his home until now. They drove her to the Aaron's countryside beach resort in the morning where I had planned everything.

Aiden, Aaron and Riyan were so keen on making it precisely real that they even forced me to click one terrific picture using red food color poured all over me to fake it as blood. However I wasn't in favor of that but they just didn't let me have any say in their plan. Thus, I happened to do what they asked me to. Although I bugged them a lot yesterday to know whether she's fine or not after seeing the picture which obviously she wasn't and dreaded every single second of the day yesterday.

We enjoyed for a little while at the beach after we managed to make Arinya forgive us. We savored the moments without a care in the world, playing and sprinkling water on each other.

When Arinya was tangled in her own thoughts, I took it as an opportunity and traded a look with Aiden and my friends. They understood and took it as a cue to leave for their rooms. John, Miss Rose and Miss Grace too left for their respective rooms leaving just Arinya and I on the beach.

Arinya was busy admiring the beauty of nature as she peacefully sat at the shore of the beach. She moved her fingers subconsciously on the sand and had her feet soaked in the water.

"Come let me walk you to your room." I said and she moved her head upwards to look at me.

"Everyone left?" She looked around and realised there was no one except the both of us. I held out a hand and helped her to stand.

"Yeah." I answered.

It took us barely ten minutes to reach her room. It was the first time I was getting nervous as the time of proposal was nearing.

"A mini surprise is waiting for you in your room." I told her as we stood at her room's doorstep. She knitted her eyebrows in confusion.

"Just tell me I am not getting kidnapped again." She mocked and I chuckled.

"Um let me think, maybe." I slipped my hands in my pant pockets and shrugged.

"Don't maybe me huh, I am still mad at you." She frowned cutely and crossed her arms.
