Keefe POV:
Keefe was quite confused when Fitz asked everyone over for an impromptu talking to/sleepover, but he didn't mind. He'd be getting there earlier than some of his friends. Marella and Linh were off "working on abilities" aka making out, so it was just Keefe, Fitz, Tam, Biana, and Foster.
Sophie's POV:
"I agree, we do need to talk about some things, you can say what you want to say before I say what I need to tell you," Sophie suggested gently the brunette boy in front of her, wait, is he even a boy? He's as tall as Alden and he's 17..... Whatever. "First of all, I'm so, so sorry for the things I've said and done to you, I was a really bad boyfriend and we truly weren't a good couple, I shouldn't have pushed you to open up to me when you clearly didn't want to and couldn't. Second of all, I'm really sorry that I've taken my anger out on you for the past two years, seeing my dad get... broken", his voice started to crack a bit along with Sophie's pent up anger about Fitz, "seemed to open a floodgate of the anger I've been holding in for about 15 years, I know that I can't just smile my way out of this Sophie, trust me when I tell you that, but I am going to get help. I'm going to start seeing someone who can help me with my anger and..... trauma from the Neverseen, get it under control... Is there any way I can get you to start forgiving me for being the biggest jerk on the planet...?". Sophie stared at him as if he was an entirely new person she'd never met before. It seemed, maybe he was. He hadn't been the "perfect" guy who introduced her to the Elvin world for a while now, but he was also trying not to be the angry guy who'd replaced him. "Fitz," Sophie started, "I think it's best if you just," Fitz winced, bracing for a major lecture, "GET OVER HERE AND LET ME HUG YOU! Obviously, I'm still a bit wary, but I can't hate you for your anger, and hearing that you're trying to get it under control.... It's incredible Fitz, really." Fitz got up and squeezed her into a nice embrace. "Though, if you start acting like a weird jerk with Keefe again and don't mend your friendship with him, I'm going to drop you with the full weight of my inflicting, got it?", Sophie said, only half-joking. "Congrats Soph, you're happy with Keefe, so I'm happy for you. Both of you.", Fitz told her, leaning out of the hug, "Now I need to try to tell my best friends that I'm sorry for being the worst." He sighed. "Hey," Sophie put a hand on his shoulder reassuringly, "it's gonna be fine. Now, let's get outta here and grab something to eat, I'm starved."
Keefe's POV:
Keefe arrived outside Everglen, pacing warily. Miss F said she'd be getting here earlier than everyone else to talk to Fitz. He wasn't worried for her, he was kinda worried for Fitz. He may have been a jerk for a while, but he was still Keefe's best friend, also, Sophie is scary! "Let's just get this over with," he thought to himself. He'd already forgiven Fitz for the things he's said, he just hasn't forgiven Fitz for what he'd done with Sophie with his judging and anger.
"Keefe! Come on in, Sophie and Fitz are eating, of course, your girlfriend can't get enough of mom's cooking," Biana greeted him at the door, "they already worked everything out. She's forgiven him, don't know if I have but, eh, Sophie is Sophie." Keefe walked into the dining room where Foster and Fitzy were eating, it looked yellow and goopy, Keefe had no clue what it was, but Foster seemed to be enjoying it enough. He took in the sight of the gorgeous girl at the table, she was wearing a fitted (very odd for her, but it suits her) lavender tunic, black leggings, and tall grey boots, there was no doubt in his mind that she was hiding several pockets. Her hair had been pulled back into a loose bun as to keep it out of her face, she'd obviously let Vertina talk to her that morning because she was wearing her golden eyeliner that brought out the flecks of gold in her eyes. She was absolutely stunning.
"Hey Foster, Fitzy. Havin' fun?", Keefe asked, sitting. Foster's eyes widened at the sight of him, it was obvious she hadn't seen him come in. She had a mouthful, so she hummed and nodded in response, it looked genuine because of the cute way her eyes matched her smile and the joy radiating off of her, so he turned to Fitz. "Keefe," he said sheepishly, "can we...talk?", at this point Fitz was very nervous, it made Keefe feel a bit bad, seeing him twiddle his thumbs anxiously. "Yeah, 'course," Keefe said, standing up and kissing Sophie on the top of her head, which made her blush furiously, "let's have this conversation elsewhere though." Fitz nodded and lead Keefe to his room.
