‘Katie Smith?’ The Policeman asked. ‘Yes that’s me!’ I said. ‘I have come to tell you some news. Some good, some bad.’ I didn’t know what to do. ‘Urmm one second’ I replied. ‘Connor can you take Amelia out of here please I don’t want her to hear this.’ I said. He nodded and took her away. ‘Okay continue’ I grabbed Josh’s hand. ‘Well Katie, we have convicted Ben with Rape, stealing and for possession of a gun for no serious reason, like Josh’s reason is because he is a celebrity. You won’t be seeing Ben for a long time.’ His name still makes me cringe. ‘Okay and the bad news?’ I asked. ‘Well Ben wants to appeal to court to make his sentence of 15 years shorter. The thing is you need to be present.’ I froze. ‘Urmm Officer, if Katie does go to the court would she be able to be in a different room?’ Josh asked. He always knew the right thing to say. The policeman nodded. ‘Yes of course.’ There was a pause. ‘That’s not the only bad news.’ He said. ‘Your father has not left you in a very good position.’ I was confused. ‘What? I don’t get it?’ I said. ‘The money your father has, well had but has now been given to you is stolen. The company he worked for stole the money and made out it was their own. The companies have decided to press charges against you.’ I wanted to cry. ‘ But I haven’t done anything? It’s my father’s fault not mine! Why do I have to get the blame! I have had enough things happening at the moment and I don’t need more.’ I began to cry. Josh put his arm around me. ‘Katie, that’s not all. Your father was in a lot of debt, About £100,500 of it to be exact.’ I was crying so much I couldn’t see. ‘NO !! WHY IS EVERYTHING IIN MY LIFE GOING WRONG!! I CAN’T DO THIS!!!’ I screamed. ‘I FINALLY REMEMEBER JOSH AFTER 2 YEARS!! BOTH MY PARENTS DIE!! I GET SHOT!! I GET RAPED!! I HAVE TO GO TO COURT!! WHY THE HELL IS IT ME!!’ I screamed. ‘Katie please calm down.’ The police officer said. ‘CALM DOWN!! ARE YOU BEING SERIOUS!! YOU WANT ME TO CALM DOWN!!! YOU HAVE DONE NOTHING TO HELP!! NOTHING TO TRY AND HELP ME!!!’ I yelled. ‘Katie, there is a team of experts trying to convince the companies to take away the charges but at the moment there is no response to it. The government may ignore the debt, considering the person the debt is held to is now deceased and cancel it. I am not sure. Your Lawyer is speaking with the government and a team of experts your lawyer has hired is speaking to the companies.’ I nodded.  ‘Sir, will you know soon?’ Josh asked. ‘Hopefully this week, I know you are getting discharged tomorrow Katie, so I will have to come to your house with your lawyer and discuss it, is that okay?’ He asked. I nodded. ‘Thank you officer.’ Josh said as the policeman left the room. Josh kissed me. ‘It will all be fine I promise.’ I smiled. ‘Josh, Take Amelia and Connor back to mine, have a shower, a sleep, change clothes, eat and then come back. You have been here nearly a whole day. Please go. I won’t take no for an answer.’ He nodded. ‘FINE.’ He said as he got up. I told him my address and told him where my keys were. He then grabbed my house keys off my clothes, kissed me and left. After he left I got up to go to the toilet. That’s when I passed out.
